A thousand prayers rising… I’d only just arrived.

Not my final destination, but somewhere I’d always dreamed of going — even briefly. #

After 16.5 hours of travel, Hong Kong became a pause on the way to Sri Lanka. At Man Mo Temple, incense coils burned slowly overhead, carrying generations of wishes upward while the city moved around them.

Outside, trams climbed steep streets, revealing a skyline that felt dense, layered, and deliberate — a city that moves to its own rhythm.

Sometimes the places that aren’t the destination are the ones that steady you most before what comes next.
