One of Luxembourg’s most dramatic flood events left its mark beneath the iconic sandstone cliffs of Predigtstuhl. Torrential rains triggered a major landslide, causing the road to collapse and temporarily cutting off this remarkable section of the Müllerthal region.

Luxembourg City truly comes alive during the Pentecost weekend.
Around the Gëlle Fra, the atmosphere felt almost magical — warm evening light, music echoing through the streets, laughter everywhere, and people simply enjoying the moment together.

There’s something emotional about seeing the city like this… vibrant, alive, and full of energy, while the sunset slowly disappears behind the skyline. One of those evenings you genuinely don’t want to end.

A giant water battery hidden in the hills of Luxembourg. 🇱🇺💧⚡

Captured this morning above the Vianden pumped-storage plant near Saint-Nicolas — one of the largest hydroelectric energy storage systems in Europe.
This panoramic drone image is built from dozens of individual photos and shows the incredible scale of the upper reservoir surrounded by forests and valleys.

The site can generate up to 1,300 MW of electricity during peak demand and stores millions of cubic meters of water high above the valley. At night, water is pumped back up using surplus energy, turning the entire mountain into a massive natural battery for the European power grid.

Luxembourg continues to surprise me from the sky. 🚁
