Big changes are here! We’re excited to introduce our new identity - one that reflects our growth, values, and vision for the future. Welcome to no ordinary design, a fresh take on who we are and where we’re headed!

Every brand evolves, and so do we. What started as 4 young artists who have grown into something bigger, bolder, and more refined. After months of thoughtful design and strategy, we’re thrilled to reveal our rebrand - a new look and a stronger voice.

We had a chance to work on an interior design project for a small 45m2 apartment in the heart of Āgenskalns. The apartment is in a historical building. Historically, these apartments were made for working class citizens, that explains why apartments are made so small. Thanks to previous owners, that respected the value of 20th century design elements, such as the old stove in the living room and simple celling decorations we were able to restore those with minimal effort. Interior design project includes renovation of Livingroom, Bedroom, Workspace, Entrance Hall and Compact bathroom. The kitchen had recently been done by previous owners and will be left as it is. Apartment owners like artistic and cozy way of living as well as having board game nights with their friends. We tried to reflect and implement these wishes in the choice and placement of furniture. A very important aspect was to make apartment more atmospheric, therefore the project envisages the placement of both the main and several atmosphere-creating lights in the apartment.

As part of the Science Centre project, we also worked on the design and technical drawings of custom furniture. Here's a little insight into some of them. To solve the problem of the awkward placement of the room walls, we approached the problem creatively. The main challenge was to design the wardrobe shelving system in a way that would not block the window and light flow into the room. The furniture was designed with a slightly bevelled side.

For the makerspace workshop, we designed tables on wheels to make it easier to move them around and configure the room as needed.

For the computer lab, we designed a TV screen grid that integrates a laptop charging station and extra space for the computer to work more comfortably with the screen!

Zinātnes centra projekta ietvaros strādājām arī pie custom mēbeļu dizaina un to tehniskajiem rasējumiem. Šeit neliels ieskats dažām no tām.

Our concept was to use the existing colours of the science centre's visual identity. The remaining spaces outline the learning opportunities inherent in a science centre. A large Makerspace space, which we called ALFA, has been created, with space to work with different materials, tools and try out skills with 3D printers. A larger cabinet system was designed to accommodate the necessary materials and 3D printers. Next to the Makerspace is a computer lab - BETA. We provided a modern custom-made laptop charging cabinet. Next to the computer room, two classrooms will be used for teaching, Delta and Sigma. In all the classrooms, including the computer room, we provided wall graphics based on the Science Centre's knowledge values! The furniture has been chosen so that it can be easily moved to suit the purpose and needs of the classroom. We chose to use modular desks on wheels so that they can be easily arranged in the classroom by changing the configuration.

Blakus Makerspace telpai atrodas datorklase - BETA. Tajā paredzējām modernu custom made portatīvo datoru lādēšanas skapi. Blakus datorklasei paredzētas divas telpas mācību klasēm, attiecīgi Delta un Sigma. Visās mācību telpās, to skaitā, datorklasē paredzējām sienu grafiskos zīmējumus, kuru koncepta pamatā ir zinātnes centra zināšanu vērtības!

Moving forward on the interior design for science centre. We also gave each room, including the lounge, a special name related to the laws of physics - the lounge, OMEGA! As the project continued to develop, the next room we tackled was the lounge. Given that this was the room with the most informal atmosphere in the project, we wanted to reflect this in our design by giving it a playful and bright pink tone. This automatically creates a light and open atmosphere. In addition to the interior design, we also created graphic design material for all the rooms in the Science Centre, but in this room the drawing has a special meaning, it reflects what the Science Centre does - to encourage people to think purposefully about different scientific processes and to look for scientific coincidences, to not be afraid of a challenge and to keep moving forward!

We recently had the great opportunity to participate in the interior design of the Science Centre. The aim was to create a space that could be further used for full teacher training courses and other activities needed for the Science Centre.
We used the existing brand and identity colours of the Science Centre as the basis for our design, thus also dividing the spaces according to their functional use.
Starting with the cloakroom/waiting area, we chose to dress it in light green, which is one of the brand's identifying symbols, thus creating a simple yet very striking link with the brand identity.

We had an opportunity to participate in Tandeems competition "Future of garage", this was our proposal:

Multi purpose creative hub/quarter - RAIŅA IELAS RADOŠAIS KVARTĀLS, CĒSIS

First off, before diving deep into the explanation of our idea we want to start by acknowledging Cesis on of the creativity centers of Vidzeme. This plays a big role not only in Cesis region but in Latvia as a whole. Generally we associate Latvian cities with one very significant thing that characterises them and for Cesis aside from their historical heritage it’s culture, art and music.
Therefore we want to emphasise this characteristic of the town by providing with a new and addition space for creativity. Where people can gather make, sell and enjoy art and music not just from Cesis, but from all around Latvia.

We propose to create a sort of creative hub/quarter, which would be a complete self sufficient complex for such a function. Our idea composes of splitting the quarter in such zones: a place for events, a place for galleries, a place for commercial activities and a place for work. We plan on achieving this by creating one end of the garage complex as a place for a open-air stage, cafeteria bars and a food court and galleries. The middle part of the complex would be used as a market for all sorts of local goods and services which can be transformed into a seating area for concerts when the shops close up in the evening and lastly the very far part of the complex would be composed private workspaces for local and resident artists where they could create their work uninterrupted by all of the fuss whilst still having it as a nice background for creativity to flow.

The upper part of the garage complex would be transformed into a park of sorts, combining such functions like: seating area for passive recreation and concerts, activities zone for calisthenics and a small skatepark.

The whole complex would be blessed with additional greenery and new plants in specific boxes, which can later be replanted into soil if necessary.

Compact 22.10 square meter interior design project for a living room / kitchen / workspace in Riga. With relatively little space in the apartment, it was important to provide space for different functions - a workspace, a kitchen and a dining area, as well as a recreation corner and a solution for storing belongings like books, plants, decors etc.. The interior for the living room of the apartment includes the use of accent colours that complement the texture of the custom made wooden furniture.
