🇬🇧 I had photographed this .latvia project Parka Kvartāls a while ago, but back then they were empty, unfurnished apartments. Of course, a furnished apartment looks much tastier in the pictures and it is easier for a potential buyer to imagine their life in a home that is ready to move in.

🇱🇻 Šo .latvia projektu Parka Kvartāls, biju bildējis jau pirms kāda laika, bet toreiz tie bija tukši nemēbelētiem dzīvokļi. Protams, ka iekārtots dzīvoklis bildēs izskatās daudz garšīgāk un potenciālajam pircējam ir vieglāk sevu dzīvi iztēloties mājoklī, kurš ir gatavs dzīvošanai.

🇬🇧 Of course, photos on real estate listings primarily should be made in the aesthetics of a wide-angle lens, but we should not underestimate the influence of so-called emotional images and detailed photos. We like to think that we are very rational, but experience shows that we make decisions more based on what we feel and less on what we know.

🇱🇻 Daudzo gadu laikā, ko esmu pavadījis radošajās profesijās, esmu nonācis pie sekojošas šķietami parodoksālas patiesības - jo vairāk ierobežojumu, jo spilgtāk izpaužas radošums. 🇬🇧 Forgive me all my interior designers, magazine editors, millionaire villa sellers and fancy downtown apartment owners, but my favorite photoshoot of the year was this time capsule. 🙌😍 An apartment where time has stopped since the post-Soviet reality. If only the location weren’t so far from the center, this apartment would be perfect for AirBnb as a place to stay for those suffering with 90s nostalgia!

Mana šī gada sirdij tuvākā fotosesija bija šī Ķengaraga laika kapsula. 🙌😍 Dzivoklis, kurā laiks ir apstājies kopš post-savienības realitātes. Ja vien lokacija nebūtu tik tālu no centra, šis dzivoklis būtu ideāli piemērots AirBnb kā vieta kur palikt ar 90to gadu nostaļģiju sirgstošiem!

🇬🇧 Many people think that a professional real estate photographer is worth involving only for exclusive property sales. I claim that my experience shows the opposite. The more unique the property, the less its sale depends on marketing, but more on whether it has a potential buyer on the market at a given moment or not. In turn, in the segment with the most potential buyers, a well-prepared and beautifully photographed property is a step ahead of all other similar properties. Like this apartment in a Soviet-era series project.

🇱🇻 Daudziem šķiet, ka profesionālu nekustamā īpašuma fotogrāfu ir vērts pieaicināt tikai uz ekskluzīvu īpašumu pārdošanu. Es apgalvoju, ka mana pieredze rāda pretējo. Jo unikālāks īpašums, jo mazāk tā pārdošana ir atkarīga no mārketinga, bet vairāk no tā, vai dotajā brīdī tam tirgū ir Potencials pircējs vai nav. Savukārt segmentā, kurā ir visvairāk potenciālo pircēju, labi sagatavots un skaisti sabildēts īpašums ir soli priekšā visiem citiem līdzīgiem īpašumiem . 🇬🇧 I honestly can’t remember exactly how many times I’ve had the chance to take pictures of some holiday home in the development! But this is a place I’ve always loved to return to. My family and I have also spent a couple of long weekends here and enjoyed the peace and comfort this place offers. I heartily recommend everyone who hasn’t tried it yet to spend their holidays in Albatross.

🇬🇧 Until recently, I had only worked with indirectly, when I was taking pictures of projects commissioned by other clients, interior designers and architects. But few weeks ago I did a photoshoot directly for Camillo and I am very happy about it as I really like what and how thy do things.

🇬🇧 When I started photographing real estate in 2011, I always turned on all the lights because it seemed like more lights = brighter pictures. Later, as I gained experience, I started turning off all the lights because it seemed like only natural light could produce beautiful shots. Now I know the truth - in order to get the best shots you have to play with lights and lamps.

🇱🇻 Kad 2011.gadā sāku fotografēt nekustamo īpašumu, vienmēr slēdzu visas gaismas iekšā, jo likās, ka vairāk ieslēgtu spuldžu = gaišākas bildes. Vēlākos, gados augot pieredzei, sāku slēgt visas lampas laukā, jo šķita, ka tikai dabīgā gaismā var atrast skaistus kadrus. Tagad zinu patiesību - ar gaismu ir jāspēlējas.

🇱🇻 ar šīs mājas bildēm biju jau dalījies pirms kāda laika. Bet tagad, kad tās ir parādījušās arī lapās, gribu vēlreiz tās atrādīt, jo šis bija pagājušā gada viens no maniem mīļākajiem objektiem kuru bildēju. Man ļoti patīk šāds dizains, kurš liksies mājīgs un iespaidīgs arī pēc pāris gadiem, kad būs nomainījies kārtējais trendu cikls.
