A butterfly among apple blossoms π¦πΈβ
β
During a photo walk, while photographing apple blossoms and filming behind-the-scenes videos for the BTS camera reel I recently posted, the walk was already coming to an end, and it had started raining. Before leaving, I decided to take a few more photos in one of my apple blossom spots in the garden.β
β
To my surprise, I spotted a butterfly flying from tree to tree, so of course I followed it. Eventually, it landed on this blossom. I carefully approached it and captured as many photos as I could before it flew away. And I got the shot! π€π»β
β
I combined two photos with focus on the eye and the upper part of the wing to get more of the butterfly sharp in a single image. Sometimes these unplanned little focus stacks work beautifully too, as long as I do not move too much between the shots.β
I've shared multiple easy focus stacking techniques on my Patreon if you want to try it out!

This year, I have photographed butterflies in plum blossoms, lilacs, and apple blossoms, and it has been such a joy seeing these little beauties among the blooms. π₯Ή I would call this a very successful Spring and blossom season, don't you agree? πΈβ

And I cannot wait to see what Summer has to bring π
