We are excited to relaunch the AAC Photography Club, jointly led by Casablanca photographers Hamza Zidane, Yassine Bilou, and Yassine Sellame. Join us for a variety of events including photowalks, photography lessons, group exhibitions, and artist spotlights. All levels of experience are welcome, and no equipment is necessary as we have club cameras that you are welcome to learn with (or just use your phone!). Our first event will be a Photowalk this Sunday, January 7th at 14:30 led by Yassine Sellame and meeting at the American Arts Center. Hamza Zidane ( ) :
Hamza Zidane is a self-taught photographer and graphic designer who discovered his passion for photography 14 years ago. Winner of several prizes, Hamza took part in several national and international exhibitions and competitions. He participated to the animation of workshops and masterclass about photography and also as a jury for photography competitions. Hamza is a trainer and mentor for many young photographers helping help them win prizes, organize their exhibitions and build their portfolio. He’s the founder of the “Photographers of Morocco” community, he produces interviews with the Moroccan photographers and is the host of the Podcast “Sawt Essoura”.
Yassine Bilou ( ) :
Yassine Bilou is a street & documentary photographer passionate about light and shadow. His work celebrates the nuances of human experiences and emotions. Yassine Bilou is also a content creator he started a YouTube photography channel to share his passion and experiences with the community.
Yassine Sellame ( ):
Yassine Sellame, 28 years old, is a photographer from Marrakech. He began shooting analog in 2015. In 2016, he purchased his first C-41 chemicals and started experimenting with developing film at home. Yassine is also passionate about skateboarding, both practicing it and capturing it through photography. Yassine also organizes photographic development workshops across various artistic spaces through the Moroccan Dark Room collective.
