Happy to see today. ✨
He looks like a rockstar but Miickey Madu is a visual artist, born in Nigeria, we met through social media and bounded over the same desire to develop our inner selves in a busy and wild environment. Until I met mickey I had no clue he had a hearing deficiency. He is in a natural state of wonderlust, researching harmony and spirituality. He's a real wise man.
I’m not really in any pertutual research of harmony and spirituality due to my past traumas because I recognize that harmony comes from embracing what is within oneself first and to be in a search often means to abandon myself trying to find a false sense of joy and harmony which we call happiness (which by the way is an illusion) outside of me when it is already within. I am trying to let go off all ideas of spirituality, nationalism and religion and just accepting life as it is without making an “-ism” out of it. After all that is what society is all about— the right relationship. Creativeness expresses itself within us when we surrender completely to nothingness, which we are so afraid of. And this is how we find newness.
Art to him, is an expression of what is trapped within one. Pain and pleasure, which are usually of the same river, can be a potential for something beautiful to express itself if you know how to let it flow through you without clinging to it and personalizing it. Just flowing like water. He finds that we have evolved to carry to so much potential within us through knowledge and skill which expresses itself as painting, music, dance and so on. But we seem to not be able to express it correctly because we are trapped in the past and held down by traumas and hurts.
He is free of any religion or concept that keep you buried under the surface.
