A Swift Collage 🦅⚡

My best attempts at capturing Common Swifts (Rundun) after taking literally hundreds of useless photos of empty blue sky yesterday!

These birds are flying at over 69 mph (111 km/h) and zig-zagging in the blink of an eye. Trying to track them with a camera is an incredible lesson in patience, so I’m just happy a few frames actually managed to catch up with them! 😊😊😊

Yesterday, I was treated to an absolute show by a colorful flock of European Bee-eaters (Qerd in-naħal in Maltese) resting at Buskett Gardens! 🌳 These incredible birds are currently on their long autumn migration from Europe down to Africa, and Malta is their perfect pitstop.I managed to catch their incredible hunting skills in action—swipe through to see them catching a dragonfly and a hornet mid-air! 🪰⚡

Yesterday, I was treated to an absolute show by a colorful flock of European Bee-eaters (Qerd in-naħal) @ Buskett Gardens! 🌳

They are currently on their long autumn migration from Europe down to Africa, and Malta is their perfect pitstop.

🕷️ The largest spider in Malta! Saw this incredible Lobed Argiope (Argiope lobata) yesterday while walking through Buskett 🌳.

Known locally as the ''Brimba kbira tal-widien'', the females are the absolute largest spiders found across the Maltese Islands!
