What Exhibitions have thought me and also it's satisfaction.

The true reward of an art exhibition is not only in the paintings sold or the work displayed on the walls.

After months of hard work, sacrifices, late nights and preparation, there is something very special about seeing people stop in front of your artwork, look closely at the colours, and somehow connect with what you created.

Watching someone feel part of your art — finding peace in it, feeling relaxed, remembering something, or simply enjoying the moment — is beautiful.

Also this might be the reason why I love doing LANDSCAPES.

It is also incredibly rewarding when people notice how your work has grown and evolved over time. Sometimes, as artists, we are too close to our own journey to see that growth ourselves.

Seeing visitors appreciating the work and sharing their thoughts with us is one of the most beautiful rewards of all.

These are the moments that make all the effort worthwhile. ❤️🎨

Sometimes I look at a photograph like this and realise I am holding much more than a painting.

I am holding "Years of myself".

Art has stayed with me through beautiful moments, difficult chapters, loss, change and new beginnings. And somehow, through it all, I kept painting.

My landscapes are never just landscapes. The darkness, the rocks, the sea and that little passage of light often carry something of my own story.

I have experimented, changed techniques, made mistakes and continued learning. I no longer need my art to be perfect.

"I simply need it to be MINE".

Perhaps that little light breaking through the darkness says it best:

Whatever life brings, always leave some space for the light.

DUO exhibition not to be missed.

Art has always been more than creating something beautiful. It is part of who I am.

I love precision, the small details, and taking the time to get things right. Yet art has also taught me to let go sometimes — to explore, experiment and allow a new technique to take me somewhere unexpected.

Over these past months, my love for Chalk pastels has grown fonder. What began as exploring a different medium slowly became an important part of the journey towards this exhibition BETWEEN LAND AND SEA - A duo exhibition by Silvana Camillieri Tabone & Audrey Mercieca. 19 NEW artworks created with this medium for this exhibition. Some of these are on this photo.

Art is full of surprises.
It gives us opportunities we never expected and introduces us to people who, in one way or another, can change our lives and our artistic journey. Yet no matter how much we grow or how many new paths we explore, deep down we always remain connected to our roots.

And looking at this photograph, taken by my daughter Estelle Camilleri in my Art Studio, I couldn't help smiling... somehow I seem to have borrowed a little of that mysterious Mona Lisa expression of Leonardo da Vinci, strangely😊

Perhaps that's another little surprise from art.

Looking forward to sharing this new chapter of my creativity with you at the upcoming exhibition. ❤️🎨

BETWEEN LAND AND SEA - A duo exhibition by Silvana Camillieri Tabone & Audrey Mercieca

Two artists with distinct styles, united by a shared love for art, nature, landscapes and the sea.

The journey began with a Plein air painting session at Mġarr ix-Xini and, through the initiative and curation of Dr Rosanna Ciliberti developed into this exhibition bringing together two different artistic perspectives.
