First day of ramadan 1447

Roadha Kurukurun in Dhivehi means to shorten the fast. It’s a commonly used term for doing something entertaining to make the time pass faster while fasting, especially during the evening right before iftar. This often includes flying a kite, taking walks, going for rides, playing games, taking naps, and exchanging food. The few hours before iftar are either Roadha Kurukurun or complete chaos in the kitchen.

Graphic Posts – Power to Persuade Campaign

We designed a set of eight graphic posts in both English and Dhivehi to strengthen Power to Persuade’s presence on social media.

Minimalist yet colorful, these posts highlighted the importance of inclusion and accessibility in civic and public spaces, echoing the campaign’s core messages. Each design was crafted to be easily understandable and shareable, making the information approachable for a wide audience.

Together, the graphic posts created a cohesive visual identity across P2P’s social media channels, promoting awareness and encouraging participation through clear, accessible design.

Motion Graphics – Power to Persuade Campaign

To visually communicate key messages around accessibility and inclusion, we created seven motion graphic videos for the Power to Persuade campaign.

These bright and colorful animations explained topics such as involving persons with disabilities in election-related advisory committees, ensuring accessible public information, and training election officials to communicate effectively with everyone. Each video included English subtitles and sign language interpretation, ensuring accessibility across audiences.

The motion graphics added vibrancy to the campaign while simplifying complex policy ideas into clear, engaging, and inclusive visuals.

Live Action Videos – Power to Persuade Campaign

For the 2024 parliamentary elections, we produced a series of live-action videos for the Power to Persuade campaign to highlight the voices and experiences of women with disabilities in advocacy and policymaking.

Six documentary-style videos featured personal stories from participants addressing accessibility challenges in education, employment, public spaces, and transportation. In addition, a two-part short drama explored accessibility in public information and buildings, while an introductory video introduced audiences to the goals of Power to Persuade.

Each video was kept under two minutes to ensure wide reach and sustained viewer interest. With subtitles in English and sign language, the series made advocacy more accessible and inspired inclusion through real stories and lived experiences.

Merchandise – ENGEMA Campaign

To celebrate and reward public participation, we produced exclusive ENGEMA merchandise as prizes for the social media quiz winners. Each prize pack included a T-shirt, tote bag, and sticker set featuring ENGEMA’s signature visuals and messages, designed to reflect the spirit of civic pride and engagement.

The merchandise extended ENGEMA’s presence beyond digital platforms, giving participants a tangible connection to the campaign’s message of empowerment in the days leading up to the election.

Social Media Quiz – ENGEMA Campaign

In the three days leading up to the elections, we hosted interactive social media quizzes as part of the ENGEMA campaign. Each quiz encouraged participants to test their knowledge on election topics such as voting procedures and civic rights, keeping audiences informed, engaged, and excited for election day.

The quizzes blended education with participation, sparking conversation and building momentum online. Winners were selected through a draw among those who answered all questions correctly, with each winner receiving a prize pack of ENGEMA merchandise.

Graphic Posts – ENGEMA Campaign

We designed a cohesive series of static and carousel graphic posts to strengthen ENGEMA’s social media presence. Each post highlighted key campaign messages about voter education and civic responsibility through bold layouts, inclusive imagery, and ENGEMA’s brand colors.

Optimized for social platforms, these posts built visual consistency across ENGEMA’s channels while enhancing recognition and connection with the campaign’s message.

Motion Graphics – ENGEMA Campaign

To simplify complex election concepts and make key messages visually compelling, we developed a series of motion graphic videos for ENGEMA. Each short animation combined clear visuals, voiceovers, and dynamic typography to break down important civic information in a way that was both accessible and memorable.

These short, shareable videos were rolled out on social media to complement the live-action series, helping reinforce voter education, inclusion, and participation. The motion graphics played a vital role in keeping ENGEMA’s visual identity consistent while engaging audiences with clear and captivating content.

Live Action Video Series - ENGEMA Campaign

To boost engagement and capture the public’s interest, we produced a series of 8 to 10 live-action videos for ENGEMA, each crafted in an engaging drama style. Running 1 to 3 minutes each, these videos were designed to communicate key election information in a relatable and entertaining format, making important civic messages more accessible to a broad audience.

Through storytelling and real-life scenarios, the videos encouraged viewers to connect with the campaign’s messages on a personal level. They were strategically distributed across ENGEMA’s official Facebook and Instagram pages, which we helped launch in collaboration with the Election Commission of the Maldives, to maximize reach and interaction.

This series increased audience engagement while ensuring consistent messaging across digital channels, making learning about elections an engaging experience.

Communication Strategy - ENGEMA Campaign

A strong campaign begins with a clear strategy. We developed the complete communication strategy for ENGEMA, which outlined the key messages, target audiences, and dissemination plan for each type of content.

This strategy detailed how the campaign’s materials would reach different audience groups through television, social media, and outdoor digital displays. It also established the content plan for ENGEMA’s newly created Facebook and Instagram pages, which were launched under our guidance in collaboration with the Election Commission of the Maldives.

These pages now serve as the official digital platforms for the Election Commission to share credible information with the public during election periods. Through this strategy, ENGEMA was able to communicate effectively with a broad audience while maintaining message consistency and trustworthiness across all channels.

Branding and Concept Design

The branding concept for ENGEMA was developed to represent trust, clarity, and inclusivity. Every design choice, from color palette and typography to visual motifs, was carefully selected to reflect transparency and engagement.

The campaign identity was built to appeal to a wide audience, including first-time voters, experienced citizens, and people from different islands. The tone of the visual communication was friendly, clear, and confident, ensuring that official election messages felt accessible and relevant rather than distant or formal.

This concept guided all design and communication work that followed, allowing every ENGEMA output to feel consistent and easily identifiable across television, digital, and print channels.
