Talk about an absolute adrenaline rush! I didn’t even know this species existed until it suddenly exploded into the air right in front of me. Of course my camera was at the ready with index on the trigger. Gray-cowled Wood-Rail is the ultimate jungle skulker and rarely takes a flight. To track it, nail the focus, and freeze those massive yellow feet mid-air ——this shot is officially my trophy from the Osa Peninsula. Still buzzing!
