Grateful. Grateful for yesterday and the perfect weather brought by an unexpected cold front and eventual clearing of the skies. Grateful for the intimate group of family and friends who have loved us so well over the years but especially over the past couple of days. Grateful for vendors who were so helpful through the twists and turns. Most important- I’m grateful that at the end of the day I get to be Nicklaus John Andrews’ wife. Love you most.

Two facts about the past two months- 1. March was weird and April was too. 2. Time has FLOWN by. Ready for many more nights with friends, fire and the great outdoors.

When Nick and I asked one of our best friends (and incredible photographer) to take our engagement photos, I was stumped on where we should have our photo shoot. There are so many places around Seattle that are breathtakingly beautiful- but none of the jaw dropping lookouts or scenic mountain view backdrops felt right.
•
One night I was lying in bed when I realized that nothing felt right because it didn’t feel like us. I wanted something that showed a part of our story and who we are. Immediately it dawned on me- in U-District, where Nick and I met.
•
I couldn’t be happier with our photos and the memories that come flooding back. We’d often chat with each other and chat with our friends on these same steps after Tuesday night group. This space helped us grow as individuals and grow together. This is where Nick came back to his faith and grew as a leader and were I committed to giving control of my life and relationships to God.
•
When I look at our gallery I can say with full confidence that this location is better than all of the lookouts and mountains combined, because this is the space that brought us together.

Love you, Nick Andrews. Can’t wait to be your wife 😘❤️

Sometimes with everything going on I constantly rush to get the next thing done, item checked off my list, or shot taken just so I don’t miss anything. I rarely stop to assess the right timing.

As a photographer this is one area I want to grow in: taking a minute, double checking my composition, and letting out a breath to catch the exact moment I want- like this.

Would love to hear any tips or suggestions!!

has been talking about using our sous vide for egg bites ever since he got it. Today was the day! If you have a sous vide, try the following. If not, enjoy an egg bite making slide show 😂

1. Blend equal parts egg and cottage cheese (500g each for this recipe), add shredded cheese, salt/pepper/garlic powder
2. Prepare your mason jars with Pam and add a touch of veggies or bacon if you’d like. We bought the tiniest mason jars we could find. Thanks 👌🏼
3. Using a 1/4 cup measuring spoon, fill the mason jars leaving room the way you would leave room for cream in your coffee ☕️
4. Add whatever toppings your heart desires. Our hearts desire bacon and cheese. ❤️ Cover the new toppings with a touch of the mixture
5. Screw on the tops then loosen by one small notch. You want air to be able to escape to get a good seal 🌬
6. Place in the sous vide when the water temp hits 172, leave for an hour ⏱
7. Take out with tongs, let cool, store or plate right away!
