The (Danaus gilippus) is a North and South American butterfly in the family Nymphalidae with a wingspan of 80–85 mm, which makes it a direct cousin of the Monarch butterfly, a not surprising fact due to its close resemblance in the colors of their wings.
Curiously this insect feeds on flowers and plants from which it recovers toxic chemicals called cardenolides, these toxins make the taste of this butterfly unpalatable to avian predators.

Did you know that don't eat the leaves they cut from trees?
Because these insects are very sociable, they are capable of developing activities that until today were only thought to be exclusive to humans, I mean, they carry out activities such as livestock and agriculture.
They use leaves they cut from trees to cultivate smalls mushrooms in theirs nests to eat. On the other hand, ants protect, feed and take care of a little insects called and they offer food that they produce to the ants, it's like a mutualistic symbiosis in an ecological process.

The Mixcoate gives us an extraordinary landscape in rainy days, with approximately 94 meters high, this waterfall could be considered as one of the ten highest waterfalls in all Mexico, however it's only visible when the rainy season comes. Even so, worth taking the time to see it.

Masked Tityra is a tropical bird, its biogeography could extends from Mexico to Bolivia, it's a medium bird of approximately 20 cm. In this image we can see a female bird from this species, the male one distinguished by a black mask around the eyes and on the forehead.

Wild is a very pretty flower in the mountainous natural fields. Its leafy stems form underground bulbs that allow the flower to store nutrients and survive the winter without problems, which is why they are known as eurioicas or highly resistant flowers.

Summer arrived and with it emerge all this little creatures. is a comun beetle family in the nature, specially here in Mexico, where we can find about 2174 different species from this family. This insect caught my attention for its gorgeous sunlit colors, in these summer weeks we also can find the mating period for these insects.

This "White striped spider" was found thanks to a friend who invited me to his ranch in the north of the city, this type of spider scientifically known as "Leucauge Dromedaria" isn't as common as other spiders in the state.
Those particular colors in its belly make this insect so special.

Firsts mushrooms of the season are just growing up in this beautiful land. It has been a very dry year, fortunately it started to rain in these days and this fact is favorable for the mushrooms begin to grow.
By the way this kind of mushroom can't be eaten by humans, conversely is a very good signal for the forest's health.

3:50am to finally locate a place where to watch perfectly the .
It's just amazing and indescribable to have the privilege of see this incredible night scape given to us by the universe.
Without the photography I've never could find and appreciate this and others majestic scapes from the nature... I'm so grateful for live these experiences and share them with you... wait for the Milky-way time lapse coming soon.

Without clouds in the sky I could shot this pic, it was very cold that night I had to wake up at 3:00am o'clock.
That night I could see more stars than any other night, the brightness in the horizon is the light pollution from the city. The thing that I consider special about this photo is the little reflection in the laguna's water because it give a significant harmony...
