We met in Austin, TX back in 2011. We moved to Mexico in February 2019 with a total of 6 suitcases and our 16-year-old dog Jake who passed that April. Jonathan is from Guadalajara, which helped the transition and I was honestly just ready to get out and experience a different way of life. We were both exhausted from the constant “live to work” grind that comes with living in the U.S. We love to travel and the idea that we had to wait until retirement to see the world didn't sit well with either of us. What if we worked our entire lives waiting for that journey only to get hit by a bus before we could go? That’s when we finally said, “f**k this, let’s move to Mexico.”
