Finishing the edit for a new reportage on mezcal from Durango, premiering next month.
Durango’s mezcal feels especially unique to me. Most people are familiar with mezcal from Oaxaca, or with cocktails made with espadín. This reportage explores another side of mezcal: the landscapes, the process, and the long journey it takes to bring a single bottle of this agave spirit to life.
