‘Ser mujer’ a memory capsule of Mexico City’s 8M this 2026.

As women’s history month comes to an end, I remember, International Women’s Day still exists for us to collectively finally realize:

Women are the architects of existence,
We are the living embodiment of creation,
We are daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins,
We are soft, ruthless, sensitive, resilient, sexual, sovereign, powerful, loving, talented, fun, serious, playful

Everyday is women’s day.

So thank you sisters, for continuing to show up for humanity and reminding me every year, that when we come together for the greater good and deconstruct the narratives that no longer serve us, we do change the world.

TRAILER of Reclaiming The Hood: Ariel Torres of ArTepito 🎬

My recent documentary about a self-taught artist from Tepito, one of the most stigmatized neighborhoods in Mexico City. Through his collective ArTepito, Ariel offers his community a way to reclaim their neighborhood through creative expression.

The documentary weaves an intimate portrait of Ariel and the impact he has on his surroundings, revealing art as a powerful tool to challenge dominant narratives and generate social change.

Through murals and community-driven projects, Ariel reflects the cultural richness and vibrancy of his beloved Tepito, a place with a long tradition of art as resistance. His work pays homage to Daniel Manrique and continues his legacy from the 1970s by actively involving the community in the creative process.

By teaching artistic skills to children and adults, Ariel creates educational and creative spaces that inspire new generations to imagine and build a different future through art, one beyond violence and marginalization. As he reclaims public spaces and passes on creative knowledge, his sculptures and drawings also open dialogue around topics often considered taboo.

The film explores how art can open possibilities where none previously seemed to exist, fulfilling a vital social role not only in generating change, but also in building connections: between people, place, the stories we tell, and our power to redefine them â€ïžâ€đŸ”„

This project will be publicly available once we finish the festival circuit đŸ„° In the meantime, you can contact us to arrange private screenings and educational talks in spaces that would benefit from the message we share through this story.

The 10 documentaries I’ve previously completed as part of are publicly available to watch on the website đŸ‘†đŸ«¶

Feminism taught me not to fear the fire đŸ”„
That it’s okay to burn to the ground what doesn’t serve us.

Oppression thrives on narratives of separation, division, fear.

When I woke up to my own power, value, and strength
to the social constructs that created the dominating narratives and beliefs that told me otherwise
and dismantled all that made no sense to me
I could remember that we are one.

I could learn about intersectionality and understand that all oppressive systems are interlinked and want the same thing: to convince us we are powerless. To convince us that history repeats itself as if there is no other way- so that a few can exercise abusive domination over our shared resources.

Feminism led me to rejoice in my full spectrum of existence. And in that, it taught me about unity.

It taught me that not only do I not lose anything when I uplift and empower others- there is space for us all to thrive. In fact, it is necessary. It taught me about the ancient wisdom of sisterhood, brotherhood, and community.

It taught me that when I take up space as my full, authentic self and allow myself to be seen, I give permission to others to shine their light too.

It taught me to honor my inner witch, warrior, fairy, child, jungle girl, goddess, muse, Barbie, goofball, hippie—my inner rhythm and duality. It taught me of my cyclical body, of my essence, my sexuality, my passion, and my heart.

It taught me that with freedom and choice comes responsibility (= the ability to respond), and what it means to use my privilege and voice in service of the greater good. To see beyond victim mindsets and binary narratives. To recognize that the oppressor is also oppressed by their own oppression.

This, to me, is feminism.

So today I march, grateful for the ability to speak up for the freedom, dignity, and equal rights of all people oppressed for their gender, sexual preference, skin color, ethnicity, origins, physical abilities, and beyond.

And of course, for the honoring, preservation, and love of Mother Nature—our home—without which we wouldn’t be here to experience this marvel we call life.

Let’s BURN THE SH*T and fertilize the soil for a new earth â€ïžâ€đŸ”„

It’s here đŸ„čđŸŽŹđŸŽ„ ‘Apropiarse del Barrio: Ariel Torres de ArTepito’

In early 2020 I arrived to Mexico, where I was introduced to Ariel Torres. At the time, I knew little about Tepito or even Mexico. What was immediately clear to me was that Ariel was doing deeply important work in his community, and that his story needed to be told.

As I began filming, I realized that I wasn’t only documenting an artist, but the story of a neighborhood, of social stigma, resilience, and how art and collective practice, rooted in care and imagination, can transform lives in marginalized communities.

After many battles on the rollercoaster that is independent filmmaking, last year I decided to ask for help, crowdfunding to complete the film.

And just like that, thanks to the help of the 52 generous donors who contributed, we have a film. An intimate portrait of Ariel, a self-taught artist and the impact he has on his surroundings.

‘Reclaiming the Hood’ is an invitation to redefine our heroes and shift perspective: to see art as a form of community infrastructure, and to understand that reclaiming a place begins with the choice to use one’s voice, take action and reshape the stories that define our collective future.

I began filming on February 12th 2020 and on this exact date, 6 years later, we completed the film. (Coincidence? I don’t believe in those 😜✹🧙 )

I’m so excited we have began our festival run, but most importantly so GRATEFUL to now be able to share Ariel’s story with the world. It’s such an honor to have been invited by Ariel into his world and to be trusted in spreading his message. My hope is that it inspires similar initiatives and communities far beyond Tepito.

Even when a film is made 98% alone, it literally takes a village, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many people, saben quiĂ©nes son— GRACIAS infinitas â€ïžâ€đŸ”„

Today marks the 6 years anniversary of my arrival to the place that revolutionized my life, the place I now call home.

In 2020 I came for a month during art-week to find an artist to film for my documentary series. I was on a 6 months solo travel journey and Mexico was halfway through. I had zero expectations and honestly it was the place I was least excited for on my itinerary.

And yes, I ended up finding an incredible artist to document (which became a much more ambitious and significant project than I ever imagined, soon to finally be released to the world) and documented many many more artists after that, some hugely renowned, first for my independent non-profit series and eventually also for many clients.

But I also ended up meeting my soul sisters and making friends that became my chosen family. Getting into therapy, falling in love and having my heart broken, sitting with plant medicine, traveling all across the country, working for Netflix, healing chronic health issues, learning to drive, surf, ride a motorbike, finding my voice as a storyteller, offering self-love therapeutic portrait sessions, reconnecting with my lineage, getting deeply into Astrology and other cosmic technologies, learning energetics and ancient wisdom, exploring and redefining my feminism, stabilizing my finances, creating a Podcast, dancing A LOT, adopting a cat, meeting Human Garage and getting hired for my childhood dream job, to travel the world making documentaries for positive social impact, the list goes on and on

Most importantly I found home within. I learnt self love, redefined my relationship with myself, my health and my body, reconnected with spirit and mother-nature, and went through such a deep growth and transformational journey that birthed the TBP (The Butterfly Path) methodology, to help guide others to find what Mexico gave me- their full authenticity and self-trust, what I call “intuitive expression”.

I am forever indebted to you, mi MĂ©xico y tu gente. Thank you for seeing me. For embracing me so strongly, giving me a place to land and root, so I could metamorphosis into the person I was always meant to be đŸ„čâ€ïžâ€đŸ”„

On New Year’s Eve, I guided my family and friends in a seed planting ceremony, making an offering to Mother Nature, planting 3 intentions in the form of 3 seeds.

One for the Self (=the divine), one for Mother Nature, and one for the Collective= for the greater good.

The Gregorian calendar new year is really only “new” in the collective consciousness. If you look at nature’s cycles, indigenous and ancestral wisdom, and energetics, this time of the year isn’t the new year at all.

But the energetics of 2025 compared with 2026 point at a big energetic shift. In some form or another we have all been closing an old chapter of our life and crossing a threshold into our next timeline. This is a process, it doesn’t happen from one day to the other.

So it’s a beautiful time to reflect; what seed are you planting for this next chapter life on earth? For yourself, for the planet and for the greater good?

How do you choose to show up as you walk this earth moving forward?

What fruits, what legacy, do you want your life to bear?

How do you take responsibility over your privilege of being part of this experience we call life?

How do you cultivate an open heart, a softened spirit and TRUST?

This earth isn’t ours, we are of her. Realizing life is a co-creation, is a reclamation of your POWER.

If there are old patterns bogging you down and you’re ready to shift them as you step into this year, I’m offering 1:1 90min sessions to Unblock your Expression, from the inside out 🩋

12/01/2026

When you are disconnected from your true expression it’s easy to believe the narrative that something is wrong with you, that you need fixing, that there is always a better version of you, something outside of you to attain or achieve. And when you look for that external validation, this belief becomes a viscous cycle and it’s easy to be taken advantage of. Suddenly you find yourself idealizing a guru, a coach or someone famous on your feed
you follow someone else’s lead but you keep experiencing the same issues, triggers and patterns. Honestly, every answer you’re searching for is right here, in presence, inside 🌀 the one thing that will ever truly make a difference for every aspect of your life, is learning to trust yourself so fully, learning your body’s language so intimately, that your inner voice is your clearest compass. This is what I guide you through in my 1:1 90min session to Unblock your Expression. If you’re done outsourcing your wisdom and are ready shifting out of that loop, comment 🩋 for info.
