The Uyuni Salt Flats have been on my bucket list for a long time! The world’s largest mirror when flooded and an amazing lesson in crystals when it is not. We got the best of both worlds. Partially flooded and partially not. The vastness of the location, crystal formations and mirror effect are like no other. We had one of the most amazing sunsets with the best sundowner snacks and drinks. These are just some of the many photos I captured.

Colca Valley and Canyon in southern Peru looks like a whole different world. Part of the Atacama desert system but intermixed with pre Inca terraces, culture, wildlife and giant condors. We spent a couple of days exploring the valley, soaking in the hot springs, watching for condors and spotting all kinds of animals. The people here are welcoming and work very hard. Interesting to learn about the ways of life and the differences in cultures. A lot of tourists stop with Machu Picchu but I am glad we got to see a whole different side of the country.

Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list for a long time and is my sixth wonder of the world (Great Wall of China I am coming for you next). It did not disappoint! We got to explore this wonder on two different days and did circuit 2 and 3. Each one provided a different perspective, views and weather systems. This place has a magical energy that is hard to describe. 20 pictures don’t do it justice. So much thought went into creating this city from its location to its structure. Each stone intelligently cut and placed to combat the elements. Definitely one for the bucket list. Such an experience.
