Every Day Should Be Elephant Day 🐘
Last August 12th marked World Elephant Day, and I want to take the opportunity to share part of my project, Living Among Giants, and highlight the work Ecoexist Trust is doing to protect these giants and build safer coexistence with the communities that share their territory.
Ecoexist works in the Okavango Delta to mitigate human-elephant conflict through research, education, and, above all, collaboration with local communities. By understanding the needs of everyone who shares this landscape, they work to find solutions that allow both people and elephants to have the space and resources they need to thrive.
Because elephant conservation is not only about protecting a species. It is also about finding ways for the people who live alongside them to prosper.
