Today is the sixth day shooting the White-crowned Forktail and without fail, it came out as usual. Although the juvenile had become a sub-adult, the parent bird seemed to have a strong paternal instinct and continued to feed it even though it could feed itself.

This is the second batch of offspring that a pair of Eurasian Hoopoe raised in the same location. At this rate there will be a population boom. I have never seen such a dedicated and hardworking pair, bringing food for its juveniles. This morning alone both brought food more than 30 times, either one at a time or both together.

My 5th time shooting the White-crowned Forktail and this Juvenile obliged me every time.

Again, as I was not expecting the Chestnut-naped Forktail to come out and I had my camera speed settings at 1/40 for the black and white bird in a very dark area. many of my photos of this bird was unusable because of motion blur. Luckily I took a lot of shots and when it was standing still, I could salvage a few for posting.
