Found a sweet spot at RUXU 入续 🍵✨

The Matcha & Taro Double Layer Milk Custard was such a comforting treat - the smooth earthy matcha layers paired really well with the fragrant taro paste. It’s not overly sweet, which made it easy to keep going back for spoonful after spoonful without feeling jelak. If you’re craving something icy, the Mango Taro Shaved Milk Ice is incredibly refreshing, with fluffy milk ice, creamy taro and juicy mango adding lovely contrasts to both the flavours and textures of the dessert.

We also had the Torched Cheese Butter Croissant, crisp and crusty on the outside with a savoury, cheesy top, and their famous Caramel Custard Tart. Was curious to try after I saw someone placing 10 of them on her tray in one go 👀 ..and it was actually good! With flaky, buttery layers and a soft luscious caramelised custard centre, it’s easy to see why it’s so popular.

Beyond these highlights, the menu offers a wide variety - from different double layer milk custards and shaved milk ice flavours to classic tong shui, taro ball desserts, ice cream, freshly baked breads, pastries, and specialty egg tarts. A great spot if you’re looking to enjoy both traditional Chinese desserts and bakery treats in one place.

Lobster season at .sg 🦞✨ Recently dropped by Crossroads Cafe at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel to try their limited-time lobster lineup - featuring a range of dishes that highlight the natural sweetness of the prized crustacean in different forms.

The Lobster Brioche Roll was my favourite - filled with generous chunks of sweet, tender lobster tucked into a soft, buttery brioche. Also enjoyed the Lobster Mornay au Gratin which was baked in a cheesy sauce that complemented the lobster nicely. Other picks in the lineup include the Lobster Wild Rice Salad and Baked Lobster Pasta with Spicy Tomato Sauce, which sounded equally tempting.

The portions we had are more snack-sized, making it perfect for sharing over some cocktails in the heart of Orchard. Available till 31 March 2026.

Found a gem in Sheung Wan at - easily one of the most aesthetic cafes around. We sat outside to people watch, which made the whole experience even better. ✨

The black sesame croffle was the highlight for me, with crisp, flaky layers and a buttery interior, paired with a generous scoop of creamy black sesame ice cream. As it slowly melted over the warm croffle, it added a deep, nutty richness that made every bite so satisfying. The tiramisu was soft and well-balanced with a light mascarpone cream and gentle cocoa finish, while the Matcha Cloud was smooth, creamy, and subtly earthy without being too heavy.

I also really enjoyed the Kactus Coffee, easily one of the best sweet, creamy coffee drinks if you prefer your coffee sweet like me 🙌🏻

Kakigori stop at Auntie Sweet 🍧✨ Tried two of their signatures: the Mango Habibi and the Black Alps black sesame version. The mango one was bright, creamy and refreshing, with juicy mango chunks and that familiar tangy-sweet pomelo sago combo. Topped with a mango popsicle for an extra treat 💛 The Black Alps gave a totally different vibe – rich, nutty black sesame flavours layered with tofu pudding and sesame ice cream.

Love how each bowl is thoughtfully layered so you get different textures and flavours in every spoonful. And it’s not just about kakigori here, besides the wide range of flavours, they also offer a good selection of handmade taro ball desserts, lava cakes, mochi and even traditional Chinese desserts, so there’s something for everyone. Definitely a must-try if you’re looking to have some desserts in Hong Kong 👌🏼

Brunch at Passepartout Brunch & Coffee was honestly one of the highlights of my Hong Kong trip. 🇭🇰 If you only have time for ONE cafe brunch in Hong Kong, I’d say make it this one.

We ordered the Steveston and Bangkok plates and both were so well executed. The Steveston came with fluffy diner-style hotcakes, breakfast sausage, potato salad, greens and a fried egg – a comforting, classic brunch spread executed perfectly. The Bangkok was my favourite – thick cut bacon, creamy flavourful scrambled eggs, sourdough, baked beans and salad. It actually reminded me of a similar brunch dish I had at a café in Bangkok before, but I enjoyed this rendition even more. Everything just came together really nicely. ✨

Service was warm, space was cosy, and the food was seriously satisfying from start to finish. Definitely the kind of place I’d return to in a heartbeat. I’m still thinking about those fluffy hotcakes, juicy thick cut bacon and velvety scrambled eggs 💭

Highly recommend adding this to your Hong Kong cafe list ➡️
