Found a sweet spot at RUXU 入续 🍵✨
The Matcha & Taro Double Layer Milk Custard was such a comforting treat - the smooth earthy matcha layers paired really well with the fragrant taro paste. It’s not overly sweet, which made it easy to keep going back for spoonful after spoonful without feeling jelak. If you’re craving something icy, the Mango Taro Shaved Milk Ice is incredibly refreshing, with fluffy milk ice, creamy taro and juicy mango adding lovely contrasts to both the flavours and textures of the dessert.
We also had the Torched Cheese Butter Croissant, crisp and crusty on the outside with a savoury, cheesy top, and their famous Caramel Custard Tart. Was curious to try after I saw someone placing 10 of them on her tray in one go 👀 ..and it was actually good! With flaky, buttery layers and a soft luscious caramelised custard centre, it’s easy to see why it’s so popular.
Beyond these highlights, the menu offers a wide variety - from different double layer milk custards and shaved milk ice flavours to classic tong shui, taro ball desserts, ice cream, freshly baked breads, pastries, and specialty egg tarts. A great spot if you’re looking to enjoy both traditional Chinese desserts and bakery treats in one place.
