In mid-2022, I made a decision.
I stepped away from running a café, picked up a camera, and fully devoted myself to filmmaking.

Little Stone Production started from zero.

In the early days, all I had was a Sony a6500, a small gimbal, a tripod from a friend, and an RM50 lav mic.
Simple equipment, but every project was treated with care.

I’ve been fortunate to meet many mentors and clients who trusted me along the way, allowing me to learn and grow step by step.

From a one-person operation to now having our own fully-equipped studio, last year we even grew from a solo team to two—welcoming my brother, a talented editor, whose work you see in this showreel.
I am truly grateful.

This year, our goal is simple:
do the best work we can, and live in the moment.

去年的作品，才发现没有 post 在我的 channel。
这个作品很庆幸得到了评审的肯定，拿下了 小比赛的冠军。
当时第一次參與由新村舉辦的短片比賽，想說藉此機會表達我對于新村的看法。
我是個城市的孩子。由于從小到大搬遷過兩次，所以都沒有從小玩到大的朋友，更不用說體驗社區的氛圍。
一直到幾年前我融入了焦賴十一哩新村，終於明白大家說的人情味。
這味不是我們物質社會可以用語言說出來的，它是一種感覺。
有一種體驗是有小孩突然走向你，問你功課。
有一種體驗是繞過新村屋之間的小巷從前面街走到後面街。
有一種體驗是鄰居家有蛇，整條街都知道。
有一種體驗是過年拜天公，整條街超熱鬧。
有一種體驗是每天安迪大聲喊你“靚仔”。
有一種體驗是當你知道有安迪每天喂流浪的毛小孩，還親自掏腰包為它們結扎的感動。
這些體驗是很莫名其妙的美妙的。
回來這個影片的話題，那如果沒了新村老屋子的新村還有新村味嗎？就像忒修斯之船，維修時換完了原本的木，它還是同一艘船嗎？
可能是，可能不是
但是新村老木屋絕對是一種人情味的象徵，絕對比水泥屋來的有溫度。
想藉這個比賽機會分享一些常被我們無視的價值觀。

[LATE] Filmed after the epidemic, during which many anxieties were found to be baseless. Fortunately, upon introspection, it was discovered that many were societal constructs. The most classic example is "filial piety" in Chinese culture. The societal system advocates for almost unconditional, utmost love, and falling short is labeled "unfilial." But where do these standards come from? Later, it was realized they are comparative... As we begin to awaken, we find significant conflicts between these beliefs and the realities of life. Therefore, I personally believe self-doubt is the first step to self-awareness.

在疫情期間發現到很多[無明]的焦慮
幸運的是有往內尋找才發現很多都真的是社會大眾「賦予」的
最經典的就是華人文化裡的 “孝”
華人社會體系所宣導的幾乎是無條件，盡全力的愛
甚至如果不達標就會被冠上”不孝“
那標準是從哪裡來的？ 後來發現都是比較而來的...
當我們開始覺醒，會發現這些信念和現實生活的事實有很大的衝突
所以我個人覺得自我懷疑是自我覺醒的第一步

最近帮本地书包品牌拍了一系列照片。
拍书包需要到模特，但是又不能让模特 over power客户的产品。
很多新手刚开始拍有模特的产品的时候（尤其是fashion），会不经意让模特抢眼。照片很好看，模特很帅很美，但都不会记得模特穿什么或带什么。
所以我在拍的过程中都是在想“如何让产品好看”，然后再把模特衬托产品。
思路就完全不一样了。
