Patrick and Christabel's Pre-Wedding Shoot Pt. 2

After our morning exercise at the beach, we went to the town nearby in search of food. Next thing you know, we turned our dim sum breakfast into another mini-part of our photoshoot.

It was right then when the sun started showing it's true form. Despite the heat, they just went with it - they were as committed as we were to get the best shots.

While writing these little captions and going through the photos,
a bunch of thoughts started to come up — the sappy, romantic kind.
So if it gets a little cheesy at times… sorry (not sorry).

Patrick and Christabel’s Pre-wedding Shoot Pt. 1

We met up at Tanjung Aru beach on a quiet Saturday morning for their pre-wed shoot. Incredibly blessed to have great weather that morning.

Props to the happy couple for staying happy and lovey-dovey as they spent an hour staring endlessly into eachothers eyes, cracking jokes, and making silly dashes across the sand 🤣

Behind The Scenes [Part 2]

Instagram doesn’t let Business accounts to select more than 10 pictures in a single post. So on to Part 2!

Gavin’s graduation day was a long time coming. Throughout his 6-year long masters journey - he also lost his dad in the process. Although physically he couldn’t make it for his son’s graduation, he wasn’t forgotten. There were several elements that he mentioned that we needed to highlight, his dad being one of them.

It’s always a bit nerve-wracking at the start, reminding ourselves of just how important our roles are as photographers. We strive to strike the perfect balance—capturing emotions without pulling the subject away from truly feeling and experiencing their moment.

Bila sentimental jumpa sentimental, begini la ni hasil. 🥹 It was more than just another job or shoot - but the amount of creative freedom and two-way communication really helped us both come up with such a meaningful project.

Thank you Gavin for letting us get a glimpse of your wins in life.

Behind The Scenes [Part 1]

It was definitely a first to get noticed by a client because we shot with Fujifilm (clearly a man with great taste). Naturally we were excited too when the email came in.

Met for coffee where he got to share more on what he wanted - one, was professional headshots and the other, was his upcoming Masters degree grad ceremony. He shared a bit about himself and his story with us. So we got down to brainstorming and storyboarding to figure out our game plan for the weeks leading up the graduation.

For the headshot portion, we rented out a space the day before his grad ceremony where we could set up all our equipment - from all our lights, stands and a 3m x 11m long backdrop that miraculously fit our car, phew. Thank God.

We took our time, positioning the lighting and backdrops but as you can see, the guy didn’t need help in the posing department. Safe to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the session - a little too much, till we almost ran out of time to clear the space for the next time slot for the place.
