Picking between a studio or outdoor shoot? Here's what we'd have you weigh first 🌳

1. Who's coming. The studio is kind to young children and elderly relatives.
2. The weather. Indoors the day runs to plan. Outdoors we start around 7am, while it's soft and cool.
3. How much you want to move. Outdoors gives room to move. The studio keeps things closer.
4. Whether the place means something. Your home or a favourite park brings its own memories in.
5. How much you want left to chance. We shape the light indoors. Outdoors it shifts as we go.

Neither is better. Pick the one where your family feels most like themselves, and we'll take care of the rest.

Planning a cake smash shoot and want to know how best to go about it? 🎂

Bring your own decorations if you have them, it makes the photos feel like your family rather than a set. Pick a cake you're happy for your baby to eat, because they will.

Then just let them get on with it. Some dive straight in, others take one look at the mess and want no part of it. Both make lovely photos.
