Photos by Fee Lip Life lessons one snap at a time The work is aloof and systematic and a dark and dramatic imagery are used. Vagueness is a serious matter.

By exploring the concept of my subjects in a nostalgic way, I create work in which a fascination with the clarity of content and an uncompromising attitude towards conceptual and minimal art can be found. My photos establish a link between the subject’s reality and that imagined by its creator. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. By taking daily life as subject ma

tter, while commenting on the everyday aesthetic of middle class values, I investigate the dynamics of day-to-day life, including the manipulation of its effects and the limits of spectacle based on our assumptions of what life means to us. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination. My works are characterised by the use of everyday objects in an atmosphere of bourgeois mentality in which recognition plays an important role. With a subtle minimalist approach, I often create work that is vague and unrepresented, but these are never permissive to my role as a photographer. Different rules apply in everyday life and even everyday objects can undergo massive evolution within seconds. My practice provides a useful set of allegorical tools for manoeuvring with a pseudo-minimalist technique in the world of photography. These meticulously planned works resound and resonate with images culled from the quiet realm of my imagination.
