Early this year, I was given the privilege of capturing family photographs for a returning client. It was a birthday gift for her mum, her only brother plus nephews were back in town, her baby girl was turning 5 months old, and they have not updated their family photographs for quite a long time. It was time!

Little did I know, her beloved dad passed away less than 2 months after the photo session. My heart broke 💔 for her and her family members, who have welcomed me to their home with such kind gesture and openness.

The photographs captured became even more precious and meaningful for them, especially for little E who will not remember her grandad when she's older. I truly hope the images show her just how much he adored her and loved his entire family. Rest in peace uncle. 🙏🏻🕯

"Seriously, your picture has soul in it."

Something Mummy N said to me, something I'll never forget. 💜

It triggered an emotion I have not felt in a long time. Can't describe it. But this is my why; why I still do what I do, for families who crave photographs that are very meaningful, honest, real.

Yes, I shoot with my heart. 💘 I make time to get to know families I'll be working with prior to every photo session, giving them the same private access to me. The trust, mutual respect, understanding and friendship grow from there onwards.
