Meet your heroes

Be smart, stay safe, meeting your heroes is cool

Absolute chance encounter meeting Kym Illman at Suzuka in the pits and at the fanzone. When the sudden line appeared, first thought was there was definitely a celebrity there somewhere. Lo and behold, Kym Illman holding a meet and greet which I only saw the post that night. Didn't meet any drivers, but a hero was met indeed.

Be smart, stay safe, 5cm Per Second still breaking hearts everywhere

When 5cm Per Second came out, the ending was such a "after all that??!!" reaction. Rewatching the live action, there came a realisation that some things are just meant to be a chapter, not the whole book. But still, they walked past each other, they were right there. And that's why Kimi no na Wa exists now.

Waiting on a train

Be smart, stay safe, read more while waiting for trains

Tsu being the easiest station to identify, because it's literally just the one character making life so easy for attendees of the Japanese GP back in March. And also, read more while waiting for the train or on the train, or while bored and whatever. Reading is fun. The number of students who complain they've got no idea what to write for essays, then says they don't read is just shocking. A literal back in our day we wrote fanfiction for fun and for our exam essays. Now that's rad.
