A mini maternity session with & at Subang Ria (the coffee at the nearby cafe is fantastic!) 🤍
The weather forecast predicted clouds and a 60% chance of rain by midday. Yet the entire week leading up to the session had been sunny, and anyone who photographs outdoors in Malaysia knows how unpredictable our weather can be.
One of the biggest challenges of outdoor photography here isn’t just the rain—it’s the heat and humidity. Once the morning passes, the sun can become quite unforgiving. That’s why we decided to start early, hoping to make the most of the cooler hours before the day warmed up.
When we arrived, the sky was filled with clouds. Even past 7:30am, there was no sign of sunlight, only soft blue skies and layers of cloud cover. We adjusted our expectations and simply enjoyed the moment, trusting the process.
Then, around 8am, the clouds slowly parted.
For a brief moment, beautiful rays of morning light broke through and painted the landscape with a warmth we had been hoping for. It didn’t last long, but it was long enough.
Moments like these remind me why I love photography. Sometimes things don’t unfold according to plan, and sometimes the best moments arrive when you’ve already stopped expecting them. I’m grateful for this short window of light, for the trust from Daphne & Steve, and most of all, for God’s faithfulness in the little details.
Here are a few of my favourites from that beautiful morning ✨
