Magnificant Masjid Putra..

Masjid Putra is one of Malaysia’s most iconic mosques, located in the heart of Putrajaya. Construction began in 1997 and was completed in 1999. The mosque is named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, as a tribute to his leadership and legacy.
Built beside Putrajaya Lake, Masjid Putra is famous for its soft pink granite and elegant design inspired by Persian (Safavid) Islamic architecture, especially from Iran. Its towering minaret stands about 116 meters high, making it one of the tallest mosque minarets in the region. The mosque can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers at a time and serves as both a place of worship and a major symbol of Putrajaya as Malaysia’s administrative capital.
