Schon lange wollte ich mit dieser Seite anfangen, doch immer ist da die Angst, was andere denken, passt so etwas auf FB? Nun, wie oben aus HH zitiert: „Wer geboren werden will muss eine Welt zerstören!“ Die Angst muss überwunden werden. Klar nicht alle werden es mögen, doch so ist die Welt nun mal, ich mag auch nicht alles!

The excited barking of a Jackal pulled me out of sleep land, Grootkolk Kgalagadi 4th of December 2022.
Immediately I know that a Leopard must be around, “Leopard” I heard Anja next to me.
She was looking out the window.
I grabbed my Nikon and stumbled to the door, still one part of me not fully returned from the land of dreams. In the excitement I could not find the door handle for a few seconds...
Naturally it was very dark, I looked through the camera and pushed the ISO to get some shutter speed as I was free handing the camera with a 300 F2.8 fixed lens. At ISO 102,400 I had a shutter speed of 1/100 sec, not really enough, but there was nothing more to do other than press the shutter….
So, when a leopard is around, I take a photo, no matter what, even standing on the veranda at Grootkolk unit one at 3:08 in the morning, in my birthday suit…
