I am Melanie de la Hunt, freelance wedding photographer, based in Swakopmund, Namibia, and this is my corner of the virtual world. I travel all over Namibia, including Windhoek, Rundu, Outjo etc to capture your dream wedding day. I have been interested in Photography for as long as I can remember, and received a Certificate in Professional Photography in 2003 from City Varsity Film and Multimedia

School, Cape Town. Taking photos is much more than just a job, it truly is my passion and my way of expressing the way I see the world. I absolutely love being part of weddings, and I still cry a tear or two at every wedding I photograph. Every time a bridal couple ask me to photograph their wedding, I feel so blessed that they are making me part of their most special day, and that they trust me to capture their most cherished memories. Time is but a fleeting moment, and I hope to use my talent to leave this world a little better place than I found it, and to serve my Father above all.

My daughter is officially heading for High School....and the school hosted a Grease themed farewell...and she dressed up as Sandy. She got in character, and we snapped a few images as Sandy (my daughter is actually very shy, and def doesn't wear make-up) ;)

As this end of 2019 is fast approaching, it is a time to reflect and adjust for the new year and season ahead. This was not an easy decision to make, but after a full decade of photographing and sharing the most beautiful weddings, I have decided that from 2020, I will only photograph very limited, small bespoke weddings. I would like to thank every special wedding couple over the past 10 years that made this journey so very special. It has truly been an honour to have shared your special moments with you.
