The past 72 hours felt just like a movie—Aba residents stood still as a mammoth crowd came out to celebrate His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.

So glad I had the opportunity to photograph these moments, as His Excellency made history by commissioning 14 roads in a single day.

The fourth picture slide captures an emotional moment when a trader gifted him a pack of bottled water. Despite the massive crowd, the Governor asked for a photo to be taken.

What a way to wrap up 2 years in office for the administration of H.E.
In just two years, we’ve seen what many thought was impossible become reality.
This is proof that good leadership is possible—and impactful!
Proud to be part of telling his story.

In pictures from today’s anniversary celebration.

MTN CEO Karl Toriola x Governor Otti

Did you notice how sharp and colorful these images are? That’s because the environment and subjects are full of bold, primary colors—Red, Yellow, Blue.

It’s also giving MTN yellow, and the outfits worn by His Excellency and the MTN CEO really made the visuals pop!

Colors mean everything to me.
Do you love the images as much as I do?

Big shoutout to Photoshop Camera Raw for helping me bring them to life!

This moment captures a powerful collaboration between MTN and the Abia State Government.

“While we appreciate the applause from the public and respected opinion leaders, I can assure you that we are only just beginning.” - Governor Otti, as he flagged off two roads in Umuahia, the state capital, yesterday.

One thing you should know about this administration is that, before the flag-off of roads, construction has already started. Most government administrations only flag off roads, and at the end of the day, nothing gets done. It often just feels like they’re working, and that’s not leadership.

The images above are from yesterday’s flag-off. Hope you love them! The first two images were taken under the scorching sun — it was really hot. I hope you like how they turned out!

I edit with Photoshop Camera Raw for photography creatives. Thanks, and see you in the next post.

This post is not what you’d want to wake up to this morning!

What I witnessed in the past few hours is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. No one deserves to live in such conditions—not even the poorest of the poor. Can you believe that this is the current state of the Abia State University hostel where students reside? It’s absolutely heartbreaking!

His Excellency paid a surprise visit and was almost in tears upon seeing the university’s dilapidated condition. In his words, ‘Thank God I came; I wouldn’t have believed it.’

This is 2025, yet students are living in such poor conditions, even risking their lives by cooking inside small rooms with stoves, kettles, and pots. Governor Otti expressed deep displeasure and apologized for the unfortunate state of the facilities.

A huge thanks to Governor Alex Otti! This place will soon be transformed into a modern facility, as he has given a marching order to the Vice Chancellor to build a functional cafeteria within the next three months.

Speaking to the students, who joyfully trooped out to see the number one citizen of the state, he said: “You are aware that we are relocating both the Faculties of Law and Agriculture back to Uturu so that all of you will be in one place. The designs for the faculties and a 5,000-student capacity hostel have already been completed, and work will commence next week.”

The Governor also announced an aggressive four-month target for completing these facilities, given the urgency of the situation.

Look at the deplorable state of things in the pictures above and tell me what you think.

Thank God for Governor Alex Otti’s administration!

As a photographer, I don’t just take pictures like most random photographers. When I shoot, I aim to tell a story or create something unique, rather than just capturing a person’s face.

Look at this image— I could have simply taken a photo of His Excellency giving a speech, but I wanted to include the flag and the reason we are here. This day marks a significant political shift, as a House member transitions from PDP to the governor’s party, Labour Party. The flag beside the governor represents the party he stands with.

Swipe to see behind the scene and tell me what you think.

This is one of the most interesting pictures I’ve taken in a while. It’s the first time I’ve seen and meet, two of the most talked-about people on the internet. What stood out to me the most was how they hugged each other after not seeing each other for a while. The ADC in uniform clearly felt the warmth of the gesture and couldn’t help but smile.

Which do you prefer. Black or coloured?

I haven’t yet shared what church service with His Excellency looks like on my Instagram page. It’s a moment where he gives his full attention to the Word of God and focuses deeply on worshiping in spirit and in truth. Nothing distracts him—his focus remains entirely on the service.

He has always believed that he is who he is by the grace of God. This image captures a powerful moment of worship, a spirit-to-spirit connection with God.

Fun fact: He arrives early for the service and stays until the very end.

The crème de la crème!!!

Last night was truly a day to remember. I had the honor of joining Governor Alex Otti at an event hosted by Dr. to celebrate him. One thing that stood out to me was the presence of many billionaires, most of whom are Aba people! They are eager to return to the state, and some have already started investing.

For decades, many of these individuals left Aba due to the poor economic conditions and the failures of past administrations. Seeing these successful people—many of whom grew up in Aba and are now captains of industries—filled me with pride.

As some of them spoke, they expressed their support for Governor Otti. “Governor, I love what you are doing, and we’re solidly behind you,” they said.

Before you criticize them for not investing earlier, remember this: nobody invests where they won’t get a return. Many Aba businesses collapsed because of the damages done by past administrations. Take, for instance, Port Harcourt Road, which was abandoned for years. That road alone destroyed lives and livelihoods. Companies couldn’t survive, and countless people lost their jobs. Ask questions—it’s a painful history!

But last night, seeing those billionaires with their Rolls Royces celebrating Governor Otti gave me hope. They’re coming back to Abia!

To Ndi Aba: return to your first love. Otti is here, and change is happening.

Meanwhile, get weight!🔥
