Looking back, the last two years have been a redefining season for us.

We’ve been privileged to work behind the scenes with some of the biggest names in the corporate space, helping bring their events and stories to life. From NIES, NOG, AAM and NOGIG to end-of-year parties, award nights and executive events, every production has helped shape who we are.

I genuinely want my pictures to do more than look good.
I want them to shape decisions, shift thinking, and influence policies in the corporate world here in our nation and beyond.

I also want them to educate, to ask questions, and to quietly demand accountability from those in power.

But then I ask myself, who really holds power in that space?
Is it the executives in boardrooms, the policymakers behind closed doors, or the everyday people affected by those decisions?
And who truly deserves more of it?

Because the truth is, my influence is tied to the people I photograph.
The closer I get to real power, the louder my work can speak.

DUAL CONVERSATION

From a photographer’s perspective, being able to interpret conversations happening in a room and staying invisible is a rare gift. To me I’m part of that conversation and I must tell it from my end and that’s capturing two stories happening at once, the obvious one and the subtle one beneath, even in tight spaces.

In a room like this, you don’t just document what people are saying; you reveal what they’re not saying.

Recently, I was at the National Assembly for the first time ever.
I was attached to the Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission as his personal photographer for a courtesy visit to the Senate President.

From the moment I set my foot into the building, I felt the weight of Nigeria on my shoulders.

Standing within those walls, I felt what “nation building” truly means. I started thinking about national unity, about the pride of a nation, about history…

It’s more than what is seen from the outside.

A question kept pressing on my heart;
How can a nation of this magnitude be moved forward?

As we waited for the Senate President to come out from chambers, another question popped up;
“What does it feel like to sit on that seat and make decisions about our nation?”
knowing that every choice you make will be praised by some, misunderstood by others, and condemned by many?

I mean, what does it feel like to sit there, aware that the nation is watching, even when they don’t probably like you?

I just said to myself, leadership at that level must be crazy work.

Here’s another thing that hit me; nation building is not only done from that seat.

From my position, behind the camera I also sit in a place of influence. I frame how you see the narrative. I help create perception. And perception, in many ways, becomes reality. A case study of the 2015 general elections.

If I can document with honesty, I am contributing to trust.
If I can tell stories that inspire young Nigerians to believe again, I am contributing to unity.
If I can use my platform to highlight progress, accountability, and humanity, I am playing my part in moving the nation forward.

My hope is to be a nation builder in my own lane.

Here’s a fact, the journey to move a nation forward begins with a single person asking, “What can I do from where I stand?”

Tomorrow is AMAC elections, your vote is your power.

Events like NOGIG is a testament that photography in corporate spaces is no longer just documentation, it’s strategic communication and brand positioning.

It was a masterclass in visibility, storytelling and corporate presence.

From a photographer’s perspective, what stood out most was how corporate brands and stakeholders now understand the power of perception!
