Hello Guys. Hope we’ve all gotten up to a great start. So Here’s a short clip from a class we had in Lagos . I was privileged to be on .junaid ‘s platform ; where we took the students on my thought process to creative portraiture and creative story telling. To be Divinely Helped is not the absence of your natural strength or gift but the presence of a supernatural help. It is the realization that by strength shall no man prevail. It is understanding that God’s strength is made manifest in our weakness. So even when we feel we are strong; that strength must be made weak to tap into God’s Divine Strength. When we rely on our ability ; God lets us run the show. The only thing I know my hand is capable of doing on its own is fail. So before I put it to the plough I must ask God to help me. There’s a reason why a stone and a sling was preferred to a sword and a spear. If we must be wise then we must take our foolishness to the God of wisdom. God help Me. He is more willing to help than we are ever willing to ask . When we tap into God’s supernatural help and strength and apply it to our work, then it makes the difference.

That’s the story of this shoot and soo many before and after it. GOD HELPED ME. We must need help to position ourselves to get help. Just imagine being Helped by God. No wonder after the shoot we all gathered to say Thank You Jesus”

I’ve always felt that I could use images to describe how I feel about someone especially where words fail me. Sometimes I feel like pictures are my way of writing love letters. Letters to people who mean a lot to me. While COVID came with its ups and downs; mostly downs, God used it to give me a little sister. One that has remained consistent over the years . I keep waiting for her to change or for see finish to enter but she still behaves like the exact same person who reached out and connected with me 6 years ago. Consistency in friendship is a rare trait. I’m understanding this everyday.

photographing friends isn’t as easy as it seems. When we create images for clients it’s different. We are paid to work and we somehow use images to connect with them: but When you photograph your friend it’s different. It’s not just work ; I’m not so sure I can fully explain it. I see this play out even with brides and clients who have become friends. The images carry a lot more meaning and depth. It’s almost like an expression . Not so sure I’m making sense sha but you get my drift 😂. Each time Nabila said “I can’t wait to be photographed by you” ; I always politely declined. I didn’t just want it to be another shoot or another image so I would delay granting her request.I wanted it to be special as she’s always imagined it to be. Fast forward to 2024; we finally had the opportunity to create some of my most cherished images of someone who is dear to my heart. Someone who thinks I’m all that even when I know I’m just anyhow atimes 😂

Dear Nabila: I see you and I appreciate you . Thank you for blessing us with these images . Thank you for allowing me to photograph your parents and for adopting me as your Big Brother. I would always always appreciate everything you’ve done. Have an Amazing 2026. GOD BLESS YOU .

Let’s Talk About Slide 20. Have you ever raided your hard-rive, only to see images from way back and just begin to thank God for your journey? I used to be that young guy with one little camera and a kit lens, taking pictures of just about everything and everyone on sight. The dream wasn’t clear, I didn’t know what I was doing, I just trusted God that something would come out it. I used to explain everything I wanted to do to and how I was leaving everything to follow this unclear dream and she would say “Henry you sound so sure, what if it doesn’t work out?”. Well, I’m still not sure, I still have fears and many times I doubt more than you can ever imagine. But I’ll tell you something. God has been extremely kind to me and I’m not anywhere near deserving of any of this. I cant begin to explain how the last 12 years have panned out. All I know is this; God makes sense out of sooo many things that don’t make sense and I happen to be one of them. Archive raids are always so humbling for me and they fill my heart with a renewed hope about tomorrow. There’s something about when you remember the things that God has done in the past that makes you even more hopeful for the future. It helps you to trust the Person who did it before because you know He has the pedigree and He can do it again. So today I am grateful for the journey so far and even though I’m still uncertain and sometimes fearful, I am Hopeful. I TRUST GOD. . One day I’ll share the complete story 🙏

We were recently commissioned by Ms. Tara to create fine art images for her 40th birthday shoot, and I must say, the entire experience was wholesome from start to finish.
It was truly refreshing to work with Ms. Tara and the various creatives involved in this project.

As a photographer, receiving full creative freedom from a client can be both exhilarating and fulfilling. I remember the client saying “Big H, I’m taking you out of your space , but I don’t want you to miss your space. I want to work with your stylist, your designer and Everyone that you’ll be comfortable with”. When the client says this just know that it’s a setup 😂😂😂. Once you agree , you have no other excuse but to deliver. I’m grateful to God for having the right team and for the relationships we’ve built with several creatives in the industry over the years. Everything you see here is a collective effort of some amazing young talent .
Thank you Ms Tara for trusting us wholeheartedly and for bringing us all the way to create these images. You’re Amazing . Do you guys have a favourite slide ?
