The Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Abdulwaheed Adebayo Adelabu, yesterday met with the management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to address concerns over epileptic power supply within their franchise areas.

During the meeting, the Minister charged the company to intensify efforts toward delivering improved and reliable electricity to the people, emphasizing that the voices and concerns of Nigerians must remain a top priority. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting distribution companies with the necessary policy direction and institutional backing to ensure measurable progress in power supply.

He also reemphasized that prepaid meters under the ongoing metering initiatives are meant to be free to customers. He urged IBEDC to ensure full compliance with this directive in order to promote transparency, fairness, and consumer confidence in the power sector.

Adelabu remains steadfast in his mission to drive reforms, strengthen accountability, and deliver sustainable improvements across the nation’s power sector.

My Journey as a Photographer
I didn’t start photography with a big studio or the best camera.
I started with curiosity, passion, and the hunger to create something meaningful.
At first, it was just me and a camera—learning through mistakes, shooting for free, staying up late to edit, doubting myself more times than I can count. Some days, I questioned if this path was worth it. Clients didn’t always see the value. Growth was slow. Resources were limited.
But one thing never changed: my love for telling stories through images.
I learned that photography isn’t just about clicking a shutter—it’s about people, moments, culture, identity, and trust. Every shoot taught me something new. Every challenge sharpened my eye. Every failure pushed me to improve.
Over time, my work became cleaner. My vision became clearer. My confidence grew.
Today, I don’t just take photos—I document stories, preserve memories, and help people see themselves in their best, most authentic light. From simple portraits to professional documentary work, my goal has always been the same: create images that feel real, dignified, and timeless.
This journey hasn’t been easy—but it’s been worth it.
And I’m just getting started.

Not because I wasn’t talented.
Not because I didn’t love it.
But because people kept saying:
“Nice camera… but can you do it cheaper?”
