MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT MADRASAT (ARABIC SCHOOL)
A year ago today, I proudly graduated from the esteemed center of knowledge known as Markaz Agege. The transformative 8-year journey has had a profound impact on my life.
Recently, I have come to realize that many parents are sending their children to Madrasat not necessarily to learn or enhance their skills, but to discipline them and deter them from engaging in negative behaviors.
Some parents believe that only troublesome children attend Arabic school, while the academically gifted ones should focus solely on conventional schooling.
While it is true that learning about Islam can instill good values and prevent wrongdoing, it is crucial for parents to allow their children to fully immerse themselves in the knowledge provided by Madrasat, rather than just scratching the surface.
Often, parents push their children to pursue higher education once they see positive changes, without allowing them to deepen their understanding.
During my time at Markaz, I had the privilege of studying various aspects of Islamic sciences, this has driven me to keep learning, improve my personal growth and showing up for opportunities.

“At the end of my training at MARKAZ, I wondered why I did not see the shirk, the idolatry, the sand divination, Jalabi operation and other negative things people have fabricated against MARKAZ and its founder.” - Nurudeen Ibrahim
The first 5 years is the foundation while the complete 8 years is a life hack.
