THE FOUR BASIC PARTS OF THE COMPUTER

Just like human body which consist of different parts in it that function as a unit, however, the computer is made up of different parts that contributed to the smooth operations of the computer system.

The four important parts of the computer system are the basic parts of the computer that are most paramount than the other peripheral parts of the computer system.
Thus, these parts are more often used than other parts of the computer and are all regarded as the computer hardware which they include:

1. Keyboard
2. Mouse
3. Monitor
4. System unit

Note: other parts of the computer system such as light pen, printer, scanner, joystick, photocopy machine etc are all regarded as the peripheral parts of the computer system. That is, they are not really important as the four basic parts of the computer listed above. Although, every parts of the computer system has its own function which it performs differently from any other parts of the computer system.

COMPUTER AS IPO SYSTEM

IPO system means Input, Processes and Output. This means putting data into the system, doing something with the data and then displaying the results.

However, data is inputting into the computer system through input devices such as keyboard, mouse, joystick etc. The data is now processed with the help of a processing device such known as processor or system. Afterwards, the data has been processed, the result we get from it is called information which is displayed on an output devices like the monitor, speaker, printer etc.

DEFINITION OF COMPUTER

computer is an electronic device that accept data, process and store them to bring out useful information. However, data are those things that do not really make sense which are send into the computer through and input device such as; keyboard, mouse etc for processing.

The result of a process data is called information.
Computer is said to be an electronic machine because it uses electricity to function.

There are other electronics such as fan, television, pressing iron etc. However, in the family of electronic, computer is set aside to be the most dispensable device which processes data and information which distinguish it from other electronics.
