I was meditating on strategy when my Lord sent this bird to appear.

And what caught my attention wasn’t that it had wings.
It was how it used them.

Most people believe wings are meant for flight.
But this bird spread its wings over the water, not to fly, but to create shade, reduce the glare and see more clearly beneath the surface.

And suddenly, strategy felt different.

Not every wing is meant for flight.
Some wings are meant to block the light,
so you can see what lies beneath the surface.

Maybe strategy isn’t always about fighting the noise.
Maybe it isn’t always about fighting the circumstances.
Maybe sometimes your greatest strength is knowing how to create enough shade for your vision to become clear.

Perhaps the ability you’ve been using to survive the struggle
was never meant for the struggle.

Perhaps it was given to you for focus.

Don’t always move.
Don’t always fight.
Don’t always fly.
But fly, fight and move if you’re sure and when it’s a must.

“Sometimes, the smartest move is to become still enough to see”.
