For democracy to survive, you must allow expression of views. The interest of Nigerians must supersede our own interest and ambitions.
I stand where the interest of the people stands. Let us avoid those things that can divide us, power belongs to God. Let us live in love, peace and unity.
I will not want to judge the performance of anybody within six months because once the centre improves, Akwa Ibom state will improve and Udom Emmanuel has demonstrated commitment with what he has done so far. There’s no amount of propaganda that will distract him from fulfilling his promises to the people of Akwa Ibom State.

The sack of Barr Bassey Dan Abia as the MD of NDDC is unacceptable by the Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the Senate. Although the President has the powers to appoint and fire whoever he chooses as regards to that position. But the law clearly defines when, who and how the NDDC leadership position rotates among the states making the Niger Delta Development Commission. As soon as the Senate is back from recess, the State Caucus in the Senate will bring this issue to the floor of the Senate.

The President is a listening Leader and he is working seriously with the Senate to tackle the issue of unemployment among Nigerian Youths.

Within 6 months in the Senate, I’ve sponsored 4 motions and 2 bills and when I stand up to speak, the chamber is calm because the Senators believe I always have something important to offer anytime I stand up to speak.

The voices of Uyo Senatorial District will not only be heard but will be heard clearly.

My emergence as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas and Member of other grade A Committees in the Senate came as a perceived capability of my putting things in place by the Senate Leadership.

The decision of the Court of Appeal to affirm the ruling of the tribunal attested to the fact that I won convincingly at the polls.
If election is to be held again, I will win again because I have the confidence of the people of Uyo Senatorial District by my side.
