In a world where friendship often feels overrated and true ones are rare, I consider myself exceptional. Like I always say, I was born alone, but I’ve never walked this world alone. With Esther, I didn’t just find a friend I found a sister. Someone who looks out for me as much as I do for her, because real friendship is about value exchange.

The other day at ,I had the privilege of speaking once again on The Business of Photography.

Someone once asked me why I prefer teaching about the business of photography instead of focusing only on light and camera techniques. The truth is, when I first started, I had no guidance no one ever told me that photography should be treated as a business, not just “carrying a camera and shooting.”

As I grew and kept learning, I discovered the business side of photography. That discovery didn’t just shift my perspective, it opened my eyes to a whole world of opportunities I never knew existed.

That’s why I’ve made it my mission not only to teach young photographers but also to expose them to the wider opportunities this craft can offer. Every time I learn something new, I feel the need to share it. I may not be the best teacher, but I believe that where I’m from, many young photographers still lack exposure to the business side of photography. And I’m determined to change that.

Today is overflowing with emotions. There’s so much I could say, but I’ll let the story unfold so that when it’s finally told to the world, it will be as satisfying as a good pot of Afang soup made by my own mother.
And to those who left me behind, let it be known: I may have come into this world alone, but I’ve never walked this journey alone.
