APPRECIATION VISIT TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF ADAMAWA STATE
His Royal Highness, Amna Shelleng, Alh. Dr. Abdullahi Isa Dasong Ɓalala’awo II, led a delegation of key stakeholders, prominent sons and daughters, and elders from Shelleng Local Government Area of Adamawa State to the Government House in Yola, where they paid a special appreciation visit to the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The visit was organised as a special appreciation and goodwill gesture to express gratitude to the Executive Governor, for the numerous developmental projects and initiatives his administration has provided in Shelleng Local Government Area.
Receiving the delegation, Governor Fintiri assured the people of Shelleng Local Government Area of his administration’s commitment to completing the Kiri–Shelleng Road project and constructing an ultra-modern market at the Shelleng Local Government headquarters to boost economic activities and promote sustainable development in the area.
Governor Fintiri gave the assurance when he received prominent sons and daughters of the Shelleng Emirate, led by His Royal Highness Amna Shelleng, Dr. Abdullahi Isa Dasong II, who paid him a thank-you visit at the Government House in Yola.
The governor expressed delight over the visit and said his administration had recorded significant developmental strides across the state. He also stressed the importance of unity among the people of Adamawa State.
Fintiri said his administration had, over the past seven years, taken responsibility for the payment of WAEC and NECO examination fees for students across the state, alongside the provision of learning materials aimed at improving the education sector.
The Governor expressed his delight at the visit and highlighted the significant strides recorded by his administration in various sectors across the state. He also emphasised the importance of unity, peace, and collective responsibility among the people of Adamawa State.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Shelleng Local Government Council, Abubakar Isa Mai Jama’a, and the Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Haruna Ibrahim, said the administration’s philosophy of “no one is left behind and nothing is left untouched” had been visibly implemented across the state.
They commended the governor for approving the construction of community markets across Adamawa State and appealed for additional government interventions in Shelleng, particularly the construction of the Shelleng-Bodwai road.
