Sometimes, it’s that simple.
A table and a Thonet chair.

When someone takes a seat, there’s room for a conversation, simply about who they are. A little chat, a first connection.

Before they even realise the session has started, those honest, authentic moments appear: a glance, a gesture, a presence that feels real.

That’s what I love about portrait photography. It’s never just about equipment or technique. It’s about creating a space where someone feels seen and heard, a space where they can let go for a moment and are allowed to simply be.

Those are the moments I look for. You don’t need to be a model for that. Even with professional models, I ask them not to pose or perform, because that’s not what interests me.

I’m interested in character. In your view on life. In your struggles and your successes. Simply in who you are.
