New exhibition alert: My series FREE TO BE ME at Amersfoort opens March 6th which features 80+ people, shot in just one day.
This photo series shows that gender is something that everyone expresses in their own way. How we present ourselves - our clothing, posture and how we move through the world as is, are a powerful form of self-expression. This project explores how everyone tells their own unique story, with gender being just one of the many facets that shape who we are. With this series, we want to push past stereotypes and make room for people who are often hidden in mainstream media: fat people, Black people and people of color, people with disabilities - both physical and mental. We deserve to be visible. These photographs invite us to discover how identity connects us as people and how together we form a rich and multifaceted whole.
