How do you know if your photo is any good?
From the beginning I’ve been showing my images to get feedback, at first with an experienced photographer when I just started out (“why is there a tree sticking out of your subject’s head??”)
And now I send every image I consider good to friend photographers, artists, photo editors and even my parents. Sometimes they simply say it’s not good enough: too boring, I should get closer, different angle etc.
It can be harsh to hear criticism but in the end it always helped me to make a bigger effort on the street, to stay an hour longer, to take that one scary step closer.
It helps me to get better.
