The Holy Grail
For almost 10 years, I tried to get inside this villa. Every lead ended in disappointment. Every trip ended with locked doors.
After all those years, I heard it was about to be renovated.
I already had a trip to Italy planned that week, in a completely different region. But some opportunities only come once. So I booked another flight and went anyway.
Because when renovation starts, workers come and go. And once the transformation begins, a place like this is gone forever.
After 10 years, I finally stood inside.
Some places are worth the wait.
