2026-05-24/26 ~ Stendal

I did not totally forget to post these pictures.... (Yes I did, and I'm so sorry!)

This year MRCG organized Operation Jumping Rabbit for the tenth time! 17(!) Nationalities joined the operation.
This weekend also marked the 90th anniversary of Stendal. The Fallschirmjäger school opened just before WWII in 1936. For this occassion there was a display of the Fallschirmjäger history and a German WWII veteran and the Mayor were special guests.

Although the Saturday winds were too high and all jumps that day were cancelled, there were still two full days of jumping!

Did you see a picture you'd like in the original quality or do you have any questions at all? Please send an e-mail to [email protected] and I'll get back to you!

I hope you'll like them!

2026-03-24 ~ Military exercise, Groesbeek

As part of a military exercise by 11 Luchtmobiele Brigade and Koninklijke Luchtmacht biggest transport helicopter, the CH-47F Chinook, picked up a slingload prepared and hooked up by soldiers of 11 Bevoorradings Compagnie Luchtmobiel. After it was hooked up it was transported to a nearby airfield.

It's definitely a reminder to go back to the Berendonck more often... And I should bring my camera whenever I go! 📸🫶🏼

Last weekend I joined the & .benelux Naturewalk!
We started off with a cup of coffee, then went for a walk where we got the chance to try new/other Sony camera bodies and lenses. We ended the Naturewalk with an amazing lunch at .nl
I did not really "explore" and try a lot of different products, but I did try the 1.4x extender on my 200-600mm lens.
It was interesting, but I think I'll just stick to my own lens for now.

I'm definitely not as experienced in nature photography as some others who joined the Naturewalk, but I did enjoy it so much.
Eventhough I do have experience with outside photography, due to my hobby as "Dropzone photographer", it's definitely something different. I took a few pictures I'd like to share with you all and realised I want to start practising more with nature photography.🏞📸

Thank you .benelux
& .nl for this amazing experience!

Part 2
2025-09-20 ~ Operation Market Garden/Falcon Leap, Ginkelse Heide, Ede.

The big day of Falcon Leap and the Market Garden commemorations is always on the Ginkel Heath. The first jumps are always made by Parachute Group Holland from a original c-47. Followed by the military jumpers from big birds like the C-130's and A400's. Then the next wave is lead again by PGH from the C-47. After the last military jumpers it started to rain. Luckely all jumpers made it to the DZ and had great fun afterwards anyways.

2025-09-19 ~ Operation Market Garden, Wolfheze

After the first jumps by Parachute Group Holland at Groesbeek were cancelled, weather looked good for Wolfheze on the second day. The C-47, Pegasus - The Ghost of Arnhem, by Aero Legends came in right on time for the first drops. All landed on the DZ! After the last jumper exited the aircraft, it lowered for the memorial flight for David Lord.

In September 1944, Lord gave his life during a daring resupply mission to deliver essential supplies to encircled Allied troops. Despite his right engine being on fire, Lord made the heroic decision to fly one more circuit to ensure that the soldiers on the ground would receive the desperately needed supplies. The memorial flight ended with a low pass over our dropzone, when the plane went back to Skydive Teuge to get the rest of the jumpers.

After the Memorial Flight the first military jumps at the Ginkelse Heide were made. Their aircraft made their jumpruns straight over our dropzone! With the last A400 still at the horizon, the C-47 came in again for load 2. Everybody landed at the DZ, with lots of people watching. We then walked to the Glider monument for a remembrance ceremony with wreath laying. Then back to the campsite, to pack all parachutes!

Enjoy the pictures!

2025-09-18 ~ Operation Market Garden, Groesbeek

The first parachute jumps of the Market Garden 81st Commemorations by Parachute Group Holland should've started on 18 September, 81 years and 1 day after it started in 1944. Unfortunately, high winds prevented them to jump onto Dropzone 'T' at Foxhill, De Klös. But some members prepared to go there anyway, for the annual day at De Klös. Together with Groesbeek Airborne Vrienden Jongerenafdeling, Montessori College Groesbeek, O.B.S. De Sieppe and Tarcisiusschool Nijmegen this day was now held during the commemorations.

Mayor Slinkman of Berg and Dal welcomed all. Especially the special guests taken to The Netherlands by The Rifle:
Gene Metcalfe (102) of the US 82nd Airborne, who jumped at this very dropzone,
Frank Stellar (101) of the US 6th Army's 36th Division,
Lester Schrenk (101) of the 92nd Bomb Group of the Mighty Eighth Air Force,
and Dieter von Levetzow (99) of the German Brandenburg Division.

The jumpers, who didn't get to jump this day, were taken from the airfield to Groesbeek by bus. Some of PGH's members keep close contact with Metcalfe for a few years now, so it was nice to see them get together again.

Parachute Group Holland members set up a nice display of original items and clothing, a reproduction fully kitted paratrooper and a parachute. Just like every year, they let up a parachute to give everybody the feeling of the parachute drag. The children of course loved it!

2025-09-05 t/m 07 ~ Texel, Operation Island Crossing

Two weeks ago we went to Texel, a little Island in the north of the Netherlands. We went there with a few jumpers from Parachute Group Holland, just to jump at Paracentrum Texel and enjoy the Island!
Some of them even made their 15th jump, which means they got the minimum to jump with Market Garden!
Thanks to Sebastiaan and Peter who planned the whole trip, it was an amazing weekend.
The weather circumstances were outstanding! The wind was just good enough, the sun was shining all day and it was nice and warm...

We all hope to go back next year to redo this amazing weekend!
Thank you, Paracentrum Texel, for having us and hopefully till next year!

Enjoy the pictures, while I'll be editting this years Market Garden pictures! stay tuned...

2025-08-31 ~ Parachute Group Holland, Jump day Seppe

This day Parachute Group Holland had a regular jump day at Skydive ENPC. Unfortunately the weather forecast was bad all week, but they decided to gather at the airfield in the afternoon. As soon as there was a moment to jump, they did! The first load landed succesfully on the dropzone near Oudenbosch. Then a short while later a second dropped. During the last stick it started to rain. All landed and we went back to the airfield to have some more fun.

Enjoy the pictures!
