I actually made it this week by posting again! 🤪 someone give me a high five! 🙌

I have been behind the computer trying to edit as much as I can, and receiving a lot of messages where people are just so happy with their photos 🥰.

This job isn’t for the weak haha! I know I could work more with better automatic editing programs but for some reason I just keep doing it myself.

So lately! I have shot a total of 20.000 photos. Imagine…. Going trough ALL of them 🤪.

This ain’t complaining but just a friendly reminder to myself that I made it to post another photo 😂🙌.

This is the kind of family photography I want to create. 🤎

I don’t want to simply photograph a family.

I want to create a story around them.

For this shoot, the location wasn’t just a backdrop. This beautiful vegetable garden was something my friends had recently created themselves from the garden beds to the little details throughout the space. They had put so much love, time and effort into it, and they were incredibly proud of what they had created.

So naturally, this was where we needed to tell their story.

From the location, to the clothes, to the little accessories, to the way we interacted with the space everything was intentional and connected.

We chose pieces that felt like them.
We embraced the garden instead of trying to hide it.
We let their daughter play, explore and be herself.
And we created images that feel less like posed family portraits and more like a little glimpse into their life together.

That’s what I love about family photography.

Not perfection.
Not everyone looking at the camera.
Not a perfectly styled studio backdrop.

Give me a beautiful concept, a meaningful location, thoughtful styling and a family who is willing to get involved and I’m in my element.

These are the family shoots I want to create more of.

So if you’re looking for someone to simply take some family photos, I might not be your girl.

Two days. One incredible love story. 🤍

A little trip to Belgium with Mirjam | wedding photographer Amsterdam & Europe , for a wedding that was celebrated not once, but twice.

Day one: the civil wedding.
Day two: the ceremonial wedding.

Two completely different days, two different atmospheres, and so many beautiful moments in between. We had the absolute best time with this wonderful group of people and honestly, we enjoyed every single second of it.

But perhaps the biggest compliment came afterwards.

At the most recent ceremonial wedding, we were told that people were still talking about us. About the way we worked, the energy we brought, and how we captured the days.

And honestly… that’s one of those moments where you quietly think:

Damn. We did something really special here. 🥹

Being remembered long after the wedding day is over that’s something we’ll always be incredibly proud of.

Belgium, you were one for the books. 🇧🇪🤍

An intimate wedding 🥰 The kind of day where everything just fell into place. The weather was perfect, the location was beautiful, the people were exactly where they were meant to be, and the atmosphere was simply magical.

There was something so special about how intimate and effortless the entire day felt. No stress, no rush just two people completely present in the moment, surrounded by the people they love most. 🤍

The little moments, the laughter, the happy tears, the quiet glances and all the love in between ❤️ everything felt so genuine and incredibly personal.

One of those weddings where you look around and think: this is exactly how it’s supposed to be. ✨

Hiiiiii its me again 🤪, the photographer who forgets to post 😂❤️.

Also im still deciding whether to have my account in English or Dutch. Why did I go for English? Because im wanting to do more abroad weddings and work for more hotels anywhere in the world.

English isn’t difficult for me so I thought why not but sometimes I’m questioning if I should go back to Dutch haha.

Wedding season is about to start tomorrow and I’m super thrilled that I have bought a new drone!! I need to practice for sure but I’m super excited to learn and be an amazing dronepilot😎😎.

Wedding season is starting next week for me and I honestly can’t wait to be back behind the camera, capturing all those smiling, beautiful people again 🥹✨

Weddings have completely stolen my heart again, and I don’t think they’re going anywhere anytime soon.

This wedding at where I had the pleasure of second shooting for was such a joy to be part of 🤍

Working alongside other photographers is always so much fun. We’re so used to working solo that sharing a wedding day with someone else brings such a different kind of energy, laughter, and creativity.

It’s been a little quiet in the feed lately. Low season is the perfect season to pick your route again. Which way am I going, will I continue shoots or only do concepts, will I work more with company’s or only weddings, every year there are new developments.

Last weekend i bought myself a new lens. Something I’m super exited about to try! New ranges, new perspective. It’s all part of the game 😜

So yes I’m still here haha, still alive. Just in my personal developing space trying to see where I’m going 😎.
