A special thank you to Daisy, Justin and Toby for welcoming me into your home and allowing me a little glimpse into your lives.

There was a helicopter that stopped everything for a moment, a bee in the grass that needed careful observation, a small bouquet of field flowers, tickles with mum, blowing bubbles, being swung in a blanket and a few cuddles in between.

Not really a session. More like a very good time together — and I was there to keep a little piece of it for them😊

P.S. A short video is now included as a bonus with every family session. I’m still learning, but I already love adding this small moving part to your stories🤍

The sea, the last light of golden hour, a flowy dress, a camera and a blanket.

We filmed it with no plan at all.

At first, it felt awkward.

There was an older couple quietly watching the sunset nearby.
A group of people standing in a circle drinking b**r.
Families with kids running around.
A man trying to keep a giant kite in the air.

And then there was us.

At first, I felt like every single person was looking our way. Like we were doing something slightly embarrassing in the middle of everyone else’s normal evening.

But then I started wondering… were they even looking?

Maybe it only felt that way.
Maybe everyone was too busy living their own evening.
Watching the sunset. Chasing their kids. Talking to friends. Making memories of their own.

And after a few minutes, I stopped caring.

We stopped trying to make it look perfect.
Stopped thinking about whether we looked stupid.

And we had so much fun.
The kind of fun where you forget people are watching.
Where you start laughing for real instead of posing.

7 years married today!
We’re definitely not the same people who said “I do” seven years ago.

Since then we bought a house in the Netherlands, became parents, changed the way we live, learned a lot about ourselves.
There were beautiful moments and difficult ones too. Laughter, tears, growth, and times when we probably both thought, “what are we even doing?”

But we’re still here. Still choosing each other.
And even though this man can annoy me like
nobody else🤣
I love him more every year!

So today I was thinking about posting a mother & daughter photos… but then I got stuck — what should I even write? 🤔
And somewhere in the middle of overthinking it, I realized something — I would love to get a photo session voucher with my daughter for Mother’s Day.

But who would actually get it for me?�My daughter? Not really — she’s only 3, so she’s not quite there yet (even though, financially, she’s doing better than me 😅).�My husband? Probably wouldn’t think of it.�My parents? In-laws? Nope.

Because people just don’t think about gifts like that.�Everyone goes for things. Stuff that loses its meaning over time… but photos? They stay.
They don’t lose their value — if anything, they become even more meaningful with time.

Anyway — I decided I’ll just make this gift for myself.�I’ll book a session for Mother’s Day (and actually do the session when I’ll be in Poland), and until then… I’ll make my husband play photographer 😂 I’m sure I’ll get at least one good shot!

And I want to encourage you to do the same…�don’t wait for someone else to think of it.�Give yourself that kind of gift.

Tak sobie dziś pomyślałam, że wrzucę post o sesji mamy z córką… tylko co tu właściwie napisać? 🤔
I w trakcie tych rozkmin dotarło do mnie jedno — ja bym naprawdę chciała dostać na Dzień Matki voucher na sesję zdjęciową z moją córeczką.

Tylko kto mi go kupi?�Córka? No nie — jeszcze nie ogarnia takich rzeczy, ma dopiero 3 lata (finansowo dałaby radę bo jej oszczędności są większe niż moje 😅).�Mąż? Raczej na to nie wpadnie.�Rodzice? Teściowie? Też nie.

Bo nikt nie myśli o tym w ten sposób.�Wszyscy wolą rzeczy. Prezenty, które po czasie tracą znaczenie… a zdjęcia? Zdjęcia zostają a z czasem ich wartość rośnie.

No ale do brzegu — postanowiłam, że sama zrobię sobie taki prezent.�Zarezerwuję sesję na Dzień Matki (zrealizuję ją, jak będę w Polsce), a do tego czasu… zmuszę męża, żeby pobawił się w fotografa 😂 coś na pewno wybiorę!

I Ciebie też chcę do tego zachęcić…�nie czekaj, aż ktoś wpadnie na ten pomysł.�Podaruj sobie taką sesję sama.

A session with a child rarely feels like a session.
Most of the time, it simply becomes play.

At the beginning I sometimes suggest small activities to help everyone relax. But the most beautiful moments appear later — when parents start interacting with their children in their own way.

Talking together, laughing, running around and sometimes just being a little silly with each other.
When that happens, something changes. It starts to feel like an ordinary afternoon, not a photoshoot anymore.

And yes — it really is possible to forget about the camera😉

If this feels close to how you imagine time with your child, maybe a session like this would feel right for you too :)

Sesja z dzieckiem rzadko przypomina prawdziwą sesję zdjęciową.
Najczęściej po prostu zamienia się w zabawę.

Na początku czasem proponuję drobne aktywności, które pomagają wszystkim się rozluźnić. Ale najpiękniejsze momenty pojawiają się później — kiedy rodzice zaczynają być ze swoimi dziećmi tak, jak na co dzień.

Rozmawiają, śmieją się, biegają razem, czasem trochę wygłupiają.
Wtedy coś się zmienia. Zaczyna to przypominać zwyczajne popołudnie, a nie sesję zdjęciową.

I naprawdę — da się zapomnieć o aparacie😉

Jeśli tak właśnie wyobrażasz sobie czas ze swoim dzieckiem, możliwe, że taka sesja będzie też dobra dla Was :)

I remember sticking that tape on the wall, creating these houses… I had my big belly back then — it was just a few weeks before she was born. 🤍

And now she’s over 3 years old and already has her own ideas about how her room should look. Recently, she told me she doesn’t like the houses anymore… she wants butterflies, so I bought butterfly stickers.

I wasn’t ready to let the houses go 😅 I love how her room looks now. I want to enjoy it while it lasts, because I know it will all change soon… Maybe next it will be Anna and Elsa (she’s obsessed right now), or some other favorite character.

Time flies by so fast.

Pamiętam, jak przyklejałam taśmę na ścianie, tworząc te domki… Miałam wtedy duży brzuch — to było zaledwie kilka tygodni przed jej narodzinami. 🤍

A teraz ma już ponad 3 lata i ma swoje własne pomysły na to, jak powinien wyglądać jej pokój. Ostatnio powiedziała, że nie lubi już tych domków… chce motylki, więc kupiłam naklejki z motylkami.

Nie byłam gotowa, żeby się z tymi domkami rozstać 😅 Uwielbiam, jak teraz wygląda jej pokój. Chcę się nim nacieszyć, bo wiem, że niedługo wszystko się zmieni… Może następne będą Anna i Elsa (teraz ma na ich punkcie obsesję), albo jakaś inna ulubiona postać.

Czas leci tak szybko.

Photographing people closest to me is sometimes the most demanding😅
Every time I plan to take some beautiful photos of my own family, it never really turns out the way I imagined.

And somehow the nicest moments happen when I don’t plan or expect anything at all.
I just take the camera with me for a walk and see what happens.

Then we come back home from an ordinary walk with small memories saved in photos and short videos.

So I started thinking…

What if a photo session didn’t have to feel like a session at all?

Just a walk.
Time together, outside.
You, your family… and me nearby :) quietly capturing those “ordinary” moments for you.

Maybe this kind of session would feel right for you too😉

Fotografowanie najbliższych bywa czasem najbardziej wymagające😅
Za każdym razem, kiedy planuję zrobić mojej rodzince jakieś ładne zdjęcia, wszystko wygląda zupełnie inaczej, niż sobie wyobrażałam.

A jednak najładniejsze momenty pojawiają się wtedy, kiedy niczego nie planuję i niczego nie oczekuję.
Po prostu biorę aparat na spacer i sprawdzam, co się wydarzy.

I wracamy do domu ze zwykłego spaceru z małymi pamiątkami zapisanymi na zdjęciach i krótkich filmach.

Teraz sobie myślę…

A co jeśli sesja zdjęciowa wcale nie musiałaby przypominać sesji?

Po prostu spacer.
Czas razem, na zewnątrz.
Ty, Twoja rodzina… i ja gdzieś obok 🙂 łapiąca te „zwykłe” momenty dla Was.

Może taka forma sesji byłaby też dla Was dobra😉

There are a few beautiful things about clients coming back:

– we already know each other a little, so the next session feels more relaxed for both of us
– you already know how I work and what happens after the session, so everything goes more smoothly
– I already know what feels natural for you in front of the camera, which makes the process easier and more intuitive
– over time we create not just one session, but a small visual story together
and last but not least — my photographer’s ego is definitely happy every time someone comes back 🙂
because it means you trusted me once and chose to continue your story with me

Jest kilka pięknych rzeczy w tym, kiedy klienci wracają na kolejne sesje:

– znamy się już trochę, więc następna sesja jest bardziej swobodna — dla mnie i dla Was
– wiecie już, jak pracuję i czego możecie się spodziewać po sesji, więc wszystko przebiega spokojniej i naturalniej
– ja z kolei wiem, w czym czujecie się dobrze przed aparatem, dzięki czemu łatwiej znaleźć to, co naprawdę do Was pasuje
– z czasem powstaje nie tylko jedna sesja, ale mała fotograficzna opowieść o Was.
A na koniec — nie będę ukrywać, moje fotograficzne ego też bardzo się cieszy za każdym razem, kiedy wracacie 🙂
bo to znaczy, że zaufaliście mi za pierwszym razem i chcecie, żebym dalej opowiadała Waszą historię razem z Wami.

This photo was taken during a first birthday session.

But what I often notice while working with families is that the most meaningful images are not always connected to special occasions.

They are about ordinary time together.
The way your child holds your hand, the way you sit close without thinking about it. The small routines that quietly disappear as life changes.

You don’t have to wait for something important to happen. Sometimes the everyday moments are already important enough.

To zdjęcie powstało podczas sesji z okazji pierwszych urodzin.

Ale pracując z rodzinami, często widzę, że najważniejsze zdjęcia wcale nie muszą być związane ze specjalnymi okazjami.

Dotyczą zwykłego bycia razem.
Tego, jak dziecko łapie Cię za rękę, jak siedzicie blisko siebie zupełnie naturalnie. Małych codzienności, które z czasem znikają.

Nie musisz czekać na wyjątkowy moment. Czasem to codzienność jest już wystarczająco ważna.

Jeśli od jakiegoś czasu myślisz o sesji rodzinnej, możesz po prostu do mnie napisać i zapytać, jak to wygląda.
