I am happy to announce RamperPro firmware 3072.

Firmware 3072 now includes support for the new Sony A7RIII. This is a huge improvement compared to previous A7x models because this camera is able to save the images on its' internal memory card while the camera is connected to the RamperPro.

We are very happy to announce RamperPro firmware 3071 that is made available for all three revisions of the 100% automatic sunset/sunrise exposure ramper that you can setup via its' touch screen.

This release includes a totally new algorithm that ensures a very even exposure during the whole sunset. This fixes situations where the exposure got too bright under specific situations.

You can read more about this very exciting release at:

Close to the release of a new and exciting RamperPro firmware release. USB triggering, Smoothing 2.0 and more. Here is how to use the smoothing 2.0 algorithm on existing shoots. No need for expensive and difficult deflicker software:
http://www.elysiavisuals.com/content/post-production-workflow

Most images that you shoot with the RamperPro will have a difference between the desired shutterspeed and the actual realized shutterspeed. The desired shutterspeed is the shutterspeed that is calculated by the ramping algorithm. The realized shutterspeed is the speed that was actually used to take…

Here is an example of smoothing 2.0.

This is just about as far I can go in regards to deflickering. Smoothing 2.0 is a new algorithm that carefully smooths the ramping curve after the shoot. It does this far better than the old method.

I didn't do any complex post production steps. Just loaded the files into Lightroom with the new XMP files. The white balance curve was made by using the Friedl plugin.

I need to do a bit more testing on my side, but this will be included in firmware 3068.

This is an example of the new smoothing algorithm of the RamperPro. We have been able to even further improve the deflicker method. There is no need to use any third…

I just released RameprPro firmware 3067. What has been changed:
- Fixed the broken support for the Sony A7Rii and A7Sii. Both cameras work find again.
- Greatly! improved the sunrise performance. Older firmwares could have some over exposure in specific situations; that is fixed now.
- Improved sunset performance in situations where there is very low contrast in the images; for example when you are shooting a sunset over a sea with a lot of sky in the frame. The RamperPro can handle this now perfectly.

Do you see the RamperPro here :-).

Firmware 3064 is out:
- Fixed several "issues" on the RamperPro3. MoCoBus daisy chaining is now working. XMP files can be accessed by using the RamperPro3 as a network share. IMPORANT NOTE: This update can take 20-40 minutes on the RamperPro3 because a lot of things will be updated.
- Changed the simulation mode to give a more reliable amount of images to shoot when you enable auto end exposure.
- Added warning popups when the user changes important default settings that switch off ramping.

NEW: Improved setup. You can now setup the first camera without navigation through all the RamperPro setup screens. Everything can now be accessed directly from the home screen as I explain in this video:

This video shows how easy it is to setup the RamperPro for a sunset shoot. You basically only have to set the start exposure and the interval. You can follow the…
