It seems to be confirmed that Hukumuri Male Leopard (Sabi Sand Game Reserve) has passed away today. I enjoyed the many sightings I had of this incredible cat. He will be missed.

RIP Hukumuri 😢

Yesterday evening I finally saw the C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) Comet. From where I was it was not visible with the naked eye but I was able to capture it using my DSLR.

A legend is gone....

I just found out that my favorite leopard from the Sand Game Reserve in South Africa has not been seen for a long time and is now presumed dead (source: https://blog.londolozi.com/2019/12/11/the-anderson-male-leopard-gone-forever/).

Anderson was one of the biggest male leopards in the Sabi Sand. Every sighting of this impressive male leopard was special.

Mr. Anderson RIP 2008 - 2019

I’m in the market for a wide angle lens. I’m currently using an EF17-35 f/4 as a wise angle. I’m looking for a wider and faster lens for a Canon full frame camera.

I’m currently looking at the canon 16-36 2.8 and the Sigma 14-24 2.8. Any recommendations about fast wide angle lenses would be appreciated

People sometimes ask me what my favourite animal is. It's hard to pick a favourite but my top 2 in no particular order is Leopard and African Wild Dog. This image is from a sighting in 2016 of a pack of African Wild Dogs at Elephant Plains Game Lodge in the Northern part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa

I'm looking forward to visiting the awesome Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa again in two months. I'll be spending eight nights there in both Twee Rivieren and Kalahari Tented camp.
