I am taking over the Fujifilm Original Photo Paper Instagram and Facebook. Check it out!
Hi everybody, my name Isa de Jong Isa de Jong and I’m a photographer, image editor and illustrator based in Rotterdam. I will share some of my work, how I work and why printed images mean so much to me on the Fujifilm Original Photo Paper Instagram account for the next two weeks.
My work consists of in-depth projects with strangers. Together, we create extensive series.
For me, photography is more than just capturing images. I use my camera as a tool to investigate, document and connect with my surroundings. Accidental encounters are the starting point of my projects. Photography changed my way of seeing the world - I am always looking for beautiful places and new people to meet. I would label my work as a collaborative portraiture.
My work focusses on personal stories, histories and dreams. The portraits are accompanied by handwritten notes, drawings and items that belong to the people portrayed in the photos.
By doing this, we create a multi-media collage which may possibly translate into a book or installation.
